    Hey chaps could someone tell me if mb6 coilovers will fit an mb3?

  3. Anyone have a link to any suspension please? Snapped a spring off of one of those silly coilover sleeve things and now the cars handling erratically to say the least. Many thanks guys
  4. Cheers for the positive comments guys. Apologies for the delay in replies as well works been crazy. Where about did you get these coilovers for under £200? At a guess ae they ones for an EG? The cobra backbox costed me £100 fitted from complete auto solutions. I got it marginally cheaper as i use the guy loads and have recomended a fair few people his way so he looks after me lol. Defo came to the conclusion that a scooby isnt happening, fitted the wing onto my mb3 so shes looking better again. May consider keeping for a wee bit longer and possibly changing engine if the lack of power keeps bugging me. The powr in these arent too bad tho as i drive a wide range of cars throuh my work and some of them make me realise the little mb3's aint too bad compared to some things..
  5. I think you have all but convinced me not to have a scooby now lol. Going to try fit wing to my civic today and see if that gives me any more motivaton to keep her.
  6. I'd love to lower my mb but can't justify spending 600 on coilovers. I have heard this about Subaru tho, were they really that bad?
  7. Yea it was messy, would of been a hell of a lot worse had something been coming the opposite way as car went all over the road. lol when i first got the car it was a hell of a lot lower. Would take it off but have considered lowering it more or selling for a beem or scoob.

  10. I got mine from ebay mate, their is a link to a supersprint one on this thread but i didnt have the funds for that one so got a toyosports for £80. Not too hard to swap over for mot mate, I originally had my cat on my manifold tho so putting a 4-2-1 gave me a de-cat. However i went to the exhaust guy i deal with and put an EJ9 cat into my downpipe - centre section join so its now even easier for me to put in or remove.

Im guessing the first 2 gearbox options are out of a hatch? sorry about all the questions just not much of an idea about a lot of this lol. Appreciate all your comments though and once i find where these gearboxes come out of ill be hunting one of these bad boy out. I had a corsa sport a few years ago (yea i know crappy cars but ive learnt my ways lol) and i was highly recomended to get rid of the EGR valve on that as well so im guessing its much along the same lines in the hondas.
  12. Cool thanks for that guys going to give it a miss and hunt a 1400 gearbox instead lol . Also what benefits will i get by blocking the EGR valve?

  14. de-cat has been done and she sounds absoloutely amazing.Also revs a lot better and sounds better up the revs. Not just to keep out the way of the local fuzz lol.
  15. Aw that sucks. So def not worth buying? Other modifications i have are a full stainless exhaust manifold back with a de cat and an induction kit. Would the inlet compliment this or still not enough due to our v-tec system?

  17. Mines revs at either 2 or 2.5k but want a diff gearbox in my mb3 for better acceleration.
  18. Do none of you guys get hassle for exhaust noise. Our police round here are total arseholes and target modify cars all the time. Could be due to lack of work or they are just twats. Im slighttly lucky as ive complained about them a lot. Just wandered if u guys get hassle though as many of u all seem to have de-cats lol.
  19. Hey guys just needing a quick bit of advice. Been offered a skunk 2 inlet manifold for my mb3 for £100 but have never had any dealings with changing inlets. Heard it can be very worthwhile but what do you guys thinks of them? Also heard i may need to blank off my EGR valve? Is this an issue or not? Any help and comments will be welcomed.
  20. Will be ordering a de-cat pipe a lot quicker than hoped as the insides of my cat have shat themselves and im now left with horrible rattles when im driving along.
  21. I personally would recomend an aftermarket manifold but not an ebay one. I have an ebay one on my mb3 and has been on for maybe a year at the very most and 2 of the ports have blew their welds. You can pick up a japspeed one through ebay pretty cheap but i wouldnt go cheap crap.
  22. I dont have a cat on my manifold no more. Bought a 4 branch stainless which obviously removes the cat but i then put an EJ9 cat onto the bottom of my downpipe where it would have been on an EJ9.
  23. Thats magic mate ill let the guy who helps me do my stuff ( or who i help do my stuff lol) have a read and once the wings painted will batter on. By the looks of your post though it looks a relatively easy job....... touch wood lol.
  24. Hope this finally sorts it for you mate. Just hope the one out the scrappies is in good condition and wasnt close to doing what ours was doing.
