  1. Yea my mate has an impreza and had a sports cat but changed it to a de-cat and he noticed no difference at all. I think it depends on the sports cat though he was saying. Hopefully wont be too bad at mot time just lucky its only once a year.
  2. Ill be looking into getting one of these then. Let the fun with the local boabbies commence.
  3. Guessing it still made it a bit louder but not as loud as a straight pipe? Also where did you get the supersprint one? cheers
  4. Hey folks just wandered if their was going to be any real gains from a de-cat on my mb3. I understand these aint the fastet things on the planet but has anyone done a de-cat and noticed any reasonable gains? Obviously need to watch for police round our area due to noise but they usually leave me alone now due to previous harassment from them and the amount of complaints against them i made. So opinions, Cat in or cat out?
  5. Thanks for the link i'll have a boggle through it once i wake up lol. Yea I was pretty lucky to be fair, also managed to come out it without the wheel having any damage which was my biggest worry lol.
  6. Cheers guys. Already have a wing managed to get one delivered pretty cheap just needs to be sprayed. Hopefully get that done in the very near future and thatl bring car back to where she was lol. Removals of wing easy?
  7. Thought I'd throw up another few pics after a clean and also got a new cobra backbox on from Complete Auto Solutions Near Livingstone. Went from a 4inch melon shooter to a nice 3.5inch outward rolled puppy. You will also maybe see the damage on my front passenger wing from where my balljoint snapped at 60
  8. I personally still think its your relay as thats exactly what mine was doing. I'm not saying its not the other issues which have been stated but i had exact same problems as you and i had my fuel pump relay soldered about a year ago or so now and its never cut out on me since. Mine also had a burnt smell and some of the solders looked cracked and just crappy in general. Hope you get to the bottom of this mate.
  9. Hey chaps looking for a little bit of help please. Ever since buying my MB the window surrounds are pretty much dead. Tried many different products to sprouce them up but they just dry in instantly and have no effect. Is their anything i can do to bring these puppies back to life?
  10. Best I managed to a tank was 424ish miles! That was with an MB6 I dont even manage anywhere near that in an mb3.
  11. Ahhh fair point mate, that sucks Apologies dont have any info on the Galant box but hopefully someone comes along for ya soon.
  12. Look for a DC2 box mate. Usually pretty cheap and think a lot more straight forward to fit.
  13. Car gets pretty well serviced yea but dont think cap and rotor has been done for a while. The throttle response was marginally better when i had it removed but i figured that would have been normal if it was unplugged due to the excess fuel that would have been going through.
  14. As soon as i unplugged it and tapped the throttle the EML came on. Then i had gave it about 45 mins worth of various different driving and car reacted just the same.
  15. Had lambda sensor undone, light was obv on but car didnt seem to run any different. So could be looking at o2 sensor fault.
  16. I'll try disconnecting the lambda sensor this afternoon and seeing if that resolves anything. I'm hoping its just that as the cat etc will cost a fortune and shes not long had crap loads thrown at her after the balljoint snapping patter.
  17. Stunning car mate Done a proper good job it looks proper clean in the pics from japfest. Also want to comment on a top gf that you must have for finding you those seats
  18. No lights on at all mate. Few things ive been told are air flow metre, lambda and cat failing. I would of thought air flow would have made the car run proper crap so dismissed that. If their is no lights on could it still be lamda at fault or am i better looking towards cat as exhaust is slowly getting louder as well.
  19. Howdy chaps. Just a quick enquiry. Had a mate behind me yesterday and said car was throwing out some black smoke. Also fuel consumption has went crap over last 2 weeks. I'm guessing lambda sensor but could anyone confirm this and maybe also suggest anything else if its not lambda. Thanks
  20. Car looks nice mate, not a massive fan of this shape but once the horrendous new shape came out this one certainly grew a lot more in my books. I used to work at a Honda dealership and almost every car we sent out from jazz through to crv all had paint defects. The standard paint jobs on Hondas nowadays are disgraceful, especially considering their prices are rising into VW territory, and i know i may get shot for saying this here but a new golf is far nicer than the new civic lol.
  21. Hearing of this kinda stuff all over Britain just now and its disgusting as most people in the country are struggling. I'm currently unemployed and this is killing me but I just keep remembering how smug the traffic officer was that my car was going off the road and thats spurring me on to get the car back to how she was pronto.
  22. Apparently these guys are well known for this after speaking to a few people. Main thing is car is back and driving at the mo. Got balljoints, trackrod ends, discs, pads etc all to fire on then track her up. Also bought a wing as well so fingers crossed car will be back to normal after a few weeks and a fair whack of cash lol.
  23. Well what a flipping hassle this have been. Police refused me to phone my insurance recovery when the incident happened (standard for this area as they hate modified/young drivers, cars) and he took great pride in knowing i was going to have to pay stupid money to get my car back. Also at the scene i was raging as all he was interested in was my exhaust when if a car was coming the other way this could have been a fatal crash. So yesterday i rang the compound and they wanted 460 quid to release car and trying to charge me damage to the road etc even though there was no damage. After getting a friend involved who knows the laws a lot and works through the council we got the car released for £170 and disputing the other £180 as the price keeps dropping and the total is now £350. Now the car has a couple of grubby standard wheels on just now and still need a wing and track rod ends. Will hopefully get things sorted soon.
  24. Thats grand mate thanks for the reply. Theres a bit more damage thing snapped at 60 and wheel bent under arch etc so needing a few bits and bobs. Then gotta see if the recovery guy has f**ked anything taking it off the back of the lorry
