  1. Hey folks just wandered what hubs are all compatible with an MB3. Do ek ones or MG ones fit or what not? Ball joint snapped at 60 tonight and cars ended up in local recovery storage so need it out as soon as to keep costs down. Any info be appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the comments chaps. Yea the DC5 is lovely, hate going in it though because his v-tec is better than mine lol. Would love one of these when the finances allow it though.
  3. Here are some pics of my MB with the VTI-s lip kit on, sadly the little plastic bits on the back lip were broke so doesnt fit onto the top bit of the bumper properly in which if anybody has ideas how to overcome this would be greatly appreciated. Included are a few pics of me mates DC5
  4. Fife isnt too far away. Maybe 80 miles or so but is a pretty decent road lol. may give him a little ring.
  5. Wouldnt put a chrome extension on, especially on a 4inch melon popper lol. Mate said can't tweak hangers to how they were or we will melt the lip. CAS built whole exhaust system so would rather go to another pro place to ensure proper jobs. Thanks for reply though
  6. No worries mate hope you get her back up and running soon
  7. Hey chaps this one is mainly for chaps in Scotland or if anyone has knowledge of places in Scotland. Got VTi-s lip kit fitted but mate had to slightly alter how the rear box sat. The exhaust now needs to come out a bit as adding the splitter has put it under the back bumper but moving it has caused the centre secion to bang off something. Does anyone know any good places (not powerflow they are w****r) that i can go to et exhaust extended out maybe 2 inches tops and just lined up better again so it doesnt bang. I usually use Billy at Complete Auto Solutions in shotts but he's working offshores at the min.
  8. Yea mate big grey one in drivers fotwell area
  9. It could be dizzy but it just sounds identical to mine and mine was the relay which is down under steering wheel area. To solder you just remove the plastic casing and it will give you all the internal bits. You will see all the solder blobs, just resolder them and it will be good as new.
  10. Fuel pump relays can be bad on them mate, seems to be quite a common fault. You can buy a new one or if you are good with a solderer or know someone who is you can resolder the inside bits and it will be grand. Had to do mine last year and has been fantastic every since. Next time it cuts out turn ignition back on and see if you can hear the fuel pump making its noise. If not its your relay bud.
  11. No worries man. Its not actually too bad mate. Hopefully you get it sorted
  12. Rear lip will hopefully be on tonight if weather stays good so will try get some snaps up over the weekend.
  13. There is a picture of location on google images but i only know how to get pictures on via photobucket which i cant remember log in details lol. However google image search honda civic 1.4 ICV location and that shall get you sorted bud.
  14. From what i can remember mate, and bear with me as it was a while ago I done one on a hatch, but remove the whole air filter and between the throttle body and injectors it was down there. Not too hard to get too just a bit fiddly.

Bargain mate. Let us know how they sound as I may look into this
  16. Well hasn't been masses of progression over the winter, main job was constantly battling the horror of the salt. However I have purchased a full VTI-s lip kit in pirates black at a cracking price. Have the front splitter and sideskirts on and the rear splitter will be on soon. Also been on the lookout for EG coilovers as been told these are the same as an MB. Pictures will get taken soon as the rear lip is on.
  17. I tried to drive about 15 miles or so keeping the ECO light on, my god its not easy lol. Can't accelarate too hard or go over 2.5k revs unless in 5th gear. Defo wasnt an exciting drive home that night lol.
  18. Have to agree with you. I've had a range of cars from a nova when i was just about to pass my test, through to 106's xr2's corsas etc and most of them had constant daily issues. Apart from having to change my engine in the mb ( poor maintenance from previous owner) I've hardly had to do anything to her and that takes some getting used to after years of constantly fixing stuff on crappy cars lol.
  19. Insurance on an mb6 isnt too bad for me now mate, the prelude i was looking at was also only 60 quid a year more expensive to insure than the MB3. I used to be bad for that as well, been driving about 5 years and my MB is roughly my 32nd car lol. But the last 2 years have managed to keep hold of cars marginally longer and now have owned my mb for over a year. This Scottish MB meet could be what i need to refreshen my love for the beast. Guessing as a few of you say we all get bored at some point.
  20. I'm not going to lie I have been close to buying a 2.2 prelude for extra bang. I do know I'd miss my MB though, but there is a need for more power lol. Then on the cheaper side though lol i may find a kakimoto box from a DC2, slap that on and the whole love story could start again lol.
  21. Yea very true mate, not really a huge deal more that I'm planning on doing to the mb3. Maybe after a polish I may have a bit more motivation for it lol.
  22. Apparently the H22a only produces 183bhp and weighs more than the B18c4. B18 would be the better option imo.
