Heya dave.. good news .. i found the wiring diagram for the old pioneer .. matched it all up and booom got me a working head unit .. sounds good and yeah I was thinking of new speakers.. just not yet. Appreciate your help with this if only I though of that sooner!!! The rears did sound a bit weak you're right but never been a fan of parcel speakers lol

Thanks man. Worth a shot. A couple colours match but not all. Are there different haynes then? Didn't think of that. But yeah once we know what's what it'll be a doddle to connect up appreciate you helping me.

I do have an adaptor buddy... from the last unit. It just didn't fit th3 new one. I was hoping to take the wires out of the last units adapter and wire up the new wires that came with the new unit. All I need to know is what wire is what in the main loom the one with the blue connector then I can trace the wires up to the new units connector all colours on that loom are the ones listed

Yeah that's it... has to be wired it but I was hoping to use the old connector .. hang on a sec.. got a few pics but it's not letting me attach them .. I have an adaptor from the other broken unit. I was going to repin them but without knowing what does what I can't lol of you have WhatsApp I can send them that way

Nah the old one that was in it I still have. I just have no idea what wire is what with it. Head unit has it's own wires also with diagram on it. Just really confused by it to be honest buddy ... I will check the downloadable manual from here. See if that helps too.

Yeah, It's the newbie again ... (sorry) I'm having real issues with my new headunit install. The wires are confusing me, no manual/website matches the colours in my car's loom. It has 13 wire and they are as follows. White Red x 2 Blue Red/Yellow Yellow/Red Yellow/White Black Brown/Black Blue/Green Brown/Grey Black/Brown Grey/Black If anyone has idea's or knows which is which I will be forever Greatful!!!!!!! Thanks (i'll stop asking for a few months now)

Standard air box. The one that was "for my car" was thicker that the one in the car.

Morning all After doing some work on the car last night I noticed some parts were not right, we the air filter was waaaaaaay to big although it was "for my car" Any one know where to get the correct one? Also I noticed one of my spark plugs had some oil on it, the seal on the head to the tube has split, be honest .. is that an easy fix with some sealant or is it a take the top off and put a new seal on? Not sure how much oil has gotten through .. plug wasn't that bad but was noticeable. Another problem is the head unit, none of the car's wires match the Haynes manual so is there a way to identify the wires if so advise and help is very much appreciated. Feeling a bit stuck now If anyone is In Peterborough or close by would mean a lot if you have some spare time to help look at this. Thanking you;s in advance!

Okay awesome, Won't be any time soon but if the car stay's strong it will in the end up with more power or just an engine swap if it's worth it. One thing I've forgotten to ask is the fan speed settings in the car. Only 2 of them work for me, fastest and one before. The others do nothing. Is this an easy fix or is it a matter of getting a replacement? Thanks guys

Thank Snakey, I was looking to just do minor for now. It's getting new oil, Castrol Edge. Sparks etc. Where can you get better HT leads for this car or are they all universal and does that air box fit direct or bit of tinkering needed buddy? This may be a silly question but is this car to old for some form of remap or is that better left alone? Was thinking in the long run when bigger mods start to appear

Hey thank you buddy I've got a new issue now, someone I think got offended by my wing mirror so they decided to obliterate it -.- Mirrors smashed and hanging off. These electric wing mirrors, do the MB4's have specific connections? anyone know what one I should be getting to replace it? I'd love to go check but its decided to snow again and its not fun working in snow lol Thanks

Cheers Gel alignment is my first thing after that. Thinking of getting some lowering springs. I don't wanna dump her to the ground however I'm not to keen on being up near the clouds either Krzys, looking on Ebay it constantly shows the T5 LED's but knowing my luck they won't be the right ones I'll take a look tomorrow and hopefully they are T5

Another thing is, do we know what type of bulbs are in the dash? As in to light up the speedo ect? Hoping they can be changed to blue LED's if possible if this has been done before? Couldn't find a thread on it. Very Newbie at this moment, bare with

Morning all Appreciate the welcome! I had a choice of this car and colour or the same but in a worn out green colour. I think I chose wisely haha. Came with a couple of advisories such as track rod ball joints worn both side and anti roll links worn. From what I can see they look simple enough but I could be wrong. Thanks for the advise with the plugs too. Will get NGK, is there a specific plug so I can order the right ones? Thanks again guys! Nice warm welcome

Hey Krzys, Thank's for that, I appreciate it First job im doing is oil, plugs, filter's ect. I don't know a lot about this engine apart from is being a D16W3. At some point I would like to upgrade that to a different engine all together but that's a future project With these civic's whats the best spark plugs to use? I've heard the Bosch quantum tips plugs are not so good.

Hello to anyone reading Meet Gladys, a lovely 1999 Civic with only 87k on the clock Looking for nice easy modifications to help get some of the power back that would have been lost over the years? After having 2 owners from new it's safe to say she has never seen a modification and it's always been a thing of mine and having a Civic. Will be posting new things that are done if anyone would be interested in seeing its progression as it goes from ultra standard to hopefully a head turner for the right reasons, also she will have neons. If you're not a fan then here is the pre-warning on that. Car never came with a luxurious interior, well cream WAS a thing in the 90's. Not so much now :/ Happy for any advice to be given as long as it's not a hater type of opinion. Stay open minded Hoping to meet you guys in the near future! Thanks
