Gel Posted October 10, 2015 Share Posted October 10, 2015 Not alone are you increasing the volume of water, you're also increasing the cooling area by a significant amount therefore your engine may struggle to reach optimum temp during cold snaps which in turn will result in incorrect fuelling which may trigger an orange dash light. After saying all the above......your car may run like a dream ?.......lol The volume of coolant will increase in the whole system, but only the coolant flowing through the block cools the engine and that remains the same no matter how huge your rad will be. The only difference should be that you will have a larger reservoir of cooler fluid to start with to cope with overheat. And the thermostat naturally will take care of the temp.
