Krzys
Depends how hot it got and how long it was running when it was that hot, you might get away with it, that's on the assumption the head gasket hasn't already gone though.
Gel
Certainly sounds like a cylinder head casket on it's way out .......removing the thermostat often masks pending gasket failure. If you visit an MOT Station or borrow a CO2 tester you'll detect CO2 fumes from the header tank if a cylinder is blowing across to a water galley.....cuts out the guesswork. Good luck

Good luck I was suggesting testing the coolant for exhaust gasses to ascertain the same thing. See what happens I guess.

Dexter
Your rad could be busted! After a long process of elimination, my overheating problems disappeared once i replaced my rad, even though the old one looked to be in fine shape from the outside. Tegiwa sells good looking aftermarket rads for the b18: http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select-car/honda/eg/cooling/tegiwa-aluminium-alloy-radiator-honda-civic-eg-ek-92-00.html
