jamesvti
been looking in to the CRV gearbox, i see they have a 4.5 FD, and second and third gears seem better than the s9b.question is, are the gears interchangable with the s9b?
dr_broon
So, from what I understand all b series gearbox bits are interchangeable APART FROM the itr final drive needs the itr 1st gear to fit on the shaft (even though the ratio is the same as in the s9b) which I found out halfway through getting the install done. Krzys
That's an interesting one! As far as I'm aware the info above is correct but I don't know anyone that's tried parts from the CRV gearbox.
dr_broon
As krzys says, not aware of a crv gearbox being plundered for bits. People do use the b20 in civics with a vtec conversion, but not sure if they use the b20 gearbox or something else. Might be worthwhile looking at crv forums to see if anyone's used other b series gears in there crv gearbox... That might point you in the right direction.

Krzys
Yeah the higher the number the shorter it is meaning more acceleration! Bargain really! Are you mixing the actual gears as well or just pinching the FD?
jamesvti
would it be worth me swapping gears? id only swap a few if it made a diiference.
KiNK43
You won't be able to use the fd in a s9b. The lsd has a different bolt pattern to open diff
