You got the kit on quick , are you happy with it ? it looks good on your car :mrgreen::mrgreen: . Rich.

Yeah really chuffed mate thanks, i will need to get it on the ramp and partly re-fit the rear lip on saturday, as its started to come away where I have used double sided sticky tape. I will re-do it properly and then give her a polish and stick some decent pics up soon!! ;)

Quick update, i had the old girl on the ramp today, as I fitted a 2" adjustable de-cat that a workmate made out of a CR-V exhaust!! He used to run it on his VTI-S, but he now has a Powerflow proper job exhaust fitted, so he doesnt need it anymore!! I haven't driven my car hard yet, but to be honest im not expecting 100's of extra BHP, after all, im only running a normal Genuine Honda centre and rear exhaust, so its still no rocket ship!!

Now for the bad news, while on the ramp, i noticed that both my outer CV boots are completely split, luckily the CV joints are still covered in grease, so I now have to order 2 new CV boot kits on Monday, i haven't looked at how much they are yet, dont wanna depress myself anymore. Kinda annoys me, i should have picked up on it before, i am a mechanic after all, but i have heard none of the normal knocking on lock you normally get....

Like i have said so many times, everytime i look at the car, something else is wrong with it, really gets on my nerves. (i would have put it differently but the swear word filter would have just stopped me anyway!)

I also have a new grill that I have started to chop up to try to create a nice mesh type grill, me and my workmate have both been doing it, his is fitted and looking sweat, however on closer inspection, i have now realised that my bonnet is more bent than i first realised. So im gonna hold off fitting my new shiney grill, and also the decent condition N/S/F wing (i got off Rich!) until I can find a bonnet that's straight.

I know i shouldn't moan, nobody made me buy a car that had had an accident, but i never realised it was so bad, or such a pain in the bum to fix. If i change the bonnet, that will be most of the front end i have changed, (not including chassis parts, they are all ok thankfully) and the car is gonna end up owing me so much dosh.....wish i had just paid more money and got a decent one in the first place, when i think of the amount of things i have bolted to that car.....:evil:

If anyone has a straight, decent condition Pirates Black bonnet going let me know please. I think i was never ment to actually improve the performance on this car, something always goes wrong just before i get a chance....

Tis a bummer indeed mate, but at least you'll only need to replace it once.........and she'll be perfect after that. ;) I never noticed the bonnet was bent, all the shut lines looked spot on. You reckon you'll get a bonnet in time for the b'day meet?
