dirty injectors

You may be right, Ill have a go at those next, I think.

When running right whats this like on fuel since the b20 conversion?

The same if not better. You do not need to push it as high through the rev range to get sufficient power therefore better fuel economy.

what fuel are you running mate ??

Normally tescos 99 ron but only when getting a tank full as nearest tesco is about 13 miles. So occasionally will get some bp 95 etc.

I replaced ht leads today as totally forgot Ive got an old oem set in the shed... Drove it for about 10 miles and no hesitation ... shocking... I was about to buy fpr, fuel pump... I just hope its going to last... Good thing is that those Magnecor leads come with 10 year warranty so may get a new set ...

Well it's not... or maybe it is. The hesitation was back this morning... Fed up popped up to the garage I always use and had a chat with a bloke, told him what's going on and asked him if he can sort for me.

We agreed that ill drop the car off back end of the week with some bits I bought yesterday but while having a chat I mentioned my idle problem. He adjusted the throttle cable a bit and believe it or not 25 miles / 2 hours of driving down the line no misfire... not even once ?

Just doesn't make any sense. I will see what happens tomorrow morning when the engine is cold.

good news then mate,

a great project so far.

unsure whether to go b20/b18 bored a bit etc or b18 turbo. yours does make me want smooth n/a power

Think it through very well. N/A floats my boat, at least at the moment. How about something more extreme bored b24? that's what I want!!!
