ryan..
Does anyone have a genuine Honda oil filter for a B18 that they can measure the diameter of?I bought a removal tool off ebay advertised as fitting the B18 but its much too small for the filter I had on there and the one I bought
WilkesyMB6
The last time I bought a OEM Honda filter it was smaller than my previous Honda OEM one. I asked they the guy and I'm sure he said they have changed them.
Didjeridave
Smack a screwdriver through it & hey presto you've got a handle to turn it round! Just make sure you don't go through it centrally & stick near the outermost half of the filter - you need to avoid damaging the thread that the filter screws on to which is about an inch long. And have a few rags handy. They should be on hand tight & should come off with little more than hand-tight-torque anyway.
ryan..
they are on hand tight BUT the heat of the engine makes them much much tighter. I did that method last time and never again will i do that. Oil everyware and it took ages as there is no room
