KiNK43
Most likely the input shaft bearing. They do get noisy. I changed my box due to this. But i don't think you should worry until the box gives you problems. I found out the hard way that 2nd hand boxes often have there own issues. BedOX
the noise is getting quite loud now and i really want to get it out of the way, are there any kind of complications that can occur after swapping to a different box? and what are the differences between s80 and s4c? ive got a mate who can do work for me fairly cheaply, would it be worth getting a second hand box or would it be better to replace the ISB in mine, help is appreciated (Y)

BedOX
Oh right, nice, i thought s80 and s4c had the same ratios, and does all s4c boxes have lsd or is it only some, would love an s80 but its probs gonna have to be 4c cause of the price

WilkesyMB6
Most s4c's don't have lsd I thinks its imports that do iirc.
BedOX
ive found this, and the guy has the s80 from it for sale at the right price, and its low mileage. its probably just me being paranoid but is there a chance the gearbox could have been damaged in the crash? im guessing cars are designed to protect the engine and gearbox to some degree? cheershttp://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3516902.htm
NIKH25
Most damage on the opposite side to the gearbox, wouldn't imagine there would be any problems.
