BedOX Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 just replaced my clutch cause it needed it and there was what i thought was a release bearing noise, clutch is running beautifully now, but the noise is still there. my mate who did my clutch said it must be the main shaft in the gearbox but not to worry about it too much cause it can get alot worse than that, just want to get everyone's opinion on this though before i stop worrying about it haha, cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

prezes Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 Can you describe the sound ? Is it whining? When accelerating or not? Is it on neutral ? When the clutch is pressed? BedOX Posted December 23, 2011 Author Share Posted December 23, 2011 yeah the gerbox oil was changed when the clutch was done, seems to have helped a tiny but but its still there. its a kinda crunching/ rattling noise, only happens when the pedal is up, weather you in gear or not, and is louder under load but you can still hear it when your just sitting there aswell, its tempting me to try and get an s80 box haha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
