ECU Reset Question

i really want to try this! sounds like an easy thing do to and since mine has probably never been done it might be worth doing, could someone post a picture of the fuse box and which fuses need to be removed? would be ever so grateful WACK11111

Fusebox in question is situated there on mine, think its the same for yours.

The lid should have the fuses marked on it, but from memory it was the one at the back left, and the one to the right of it (as you look from the front of the car)

ok yep found them, there is a diagram on the inside of the fuse box.

just to make it clear what im doing

1.start up car and let her warm up

2. shut her down then remove those 2 fuses

3.wait 10 mins

4.replace fuses then start back up untill it settles

5.shut car down and start staight back up again

am i right?

spot on mate but wait untill the fan kicks in after replacing the fuses then shut it down this will allow for the fuel trim to set to all peramiters ;)

if you dont feel an improvement rite away dont worry just go for a drive and give it some beans :lol:

also on our hondas every twenty turns ov the ignition the ecu will reset !

when i change fuel to V POWER i do twenty turns on/off at the petrol station so that my ecu can set its timing to the higher octaine ;)

Did this today with no obvious result.

But i guess if it aint broke u cant fix it lol

it will have mate :)

you will notice the car will be abit smoother up the revs also it will idle a bit smoother .

Honestly felt the same in all perameters lol.

And 20 turns, thats dedication lol
