VTEC Choir 67
Just got 2 ABS Sensors for £10 from a local scrappy. First one that I got from there only lasted about a month, not bad for £3 though.
Shaddow
Hi guys,Finally got "code 17" to go away but now have "code 16". Where are all the grounding points? Is there a specific fix for this code? (Faulty Wheel Sensor Pulse (Noise)) Also, does anyone know what bolts are used to hold the sensor to the hub? Some of mine are rounded through heavy corrosion so want to replace them. Thanks
VTEC Choir 67
Hi, The bolts that hold the sensor to the hub are 10mm heads and 6mm thread I think, not sure about the thread pitch. My bolts were in pretty poor shape too, what I did was get some spare ones from the breakers yard when I was removing the ABS sensor. I had a code 17 error and the only way I could get it to go was to replace the sensor with one from scrapyard. If you go to the scrapyard to get one, take a multimeter as you can then test the resistance at the orange plug end. Should be about 800 to 1000 ohms. If a lot higher it is broken. Shaddow
This problem seems to be never ending. Took my RR sensor off last night after getting fault code 16. Cleaned it up and fitted back on. Now I am getting codes 15 and 18. I have already replaced my nearside sensor. Seems now my off side sensor is not being picked up and saying I have grounding issue with nearside rear.Code Explanations:viewtopic.php?f=88&t=34&p=7728&hilit=abs+codes#p7728Any help would really be appreciated. Just want to get ABS back on and working and get the light out!!!!Thanks
VTEC Choir 67
Have you checked the resistance of the ABS sensors? If you have and they are ok, then check the resistance of the pins of the modulator assembly connector, which correspond to the particular wheels that you have the problem on. If all is well so far, I would begin to suspect that the modulator itself maybe faulty.Hope this help.
