burbleboy
Right, this company deserves it's own thread as there are a few posts on mg suspension regarding the above ebay seller.I have been supplied the wrong front suspension by CW Dismantlers. Car sits too high and handles like a duck on ice (exageration but you catch my drift). Supplied me with front springs that had yellow paint stripe on it.Found out that blue/white markings are for mg zs 180's AFTER 2002...which according to civic5 owners are perfect?CW Dismantlers are sending me blue and yellow springs as they dont have blue and white ones! Going to fit them as guy says there for mg zs up to 2002 and will do me Fingers crossed as postage will bankrupt me if they are the same height!Apparently there are different setups for the mgzs 180. That's what i was told today. Must be a lotto for the guys that have previously bought suspension from them as some people highly recommend them whilst others want to stab them! The guy said that they specialise in mg zs stuff and dont know what will suit civics etc, which is a fair point. They were in the process of digging out every suspension set up when i phoned, to look for colour markings on springs. At least they are trying to gain info as well for us civic owners! The seller told me i could either send suspension back and they would send me out the correct ones OR purchase them again and send the wrong stuff back at later date for refund. I done the latter as didn't want my car off the road....except thats where it belongs with the current suspension setup! If you have any problems with your suspension purchase then please phone this number between 8am and 2pm. CW Dismantlers; 01302 868 379**note** if ordering from them on ebay you must state in the 'message to seller' bit what spring colour etc you want.Hope this clears up any doubts and saves future civic5 members getting hassle.Over and out Alastair
burbleboy
also....It would be heplfull if the current HAPPY mgzs 180 suspension owners stepped forward and gave us info on what colour of springs they fitted to the front? May clear all this up and to have one of the "top 3 civic mods", we have to have white/blue spring set up to achieve this!

Guest
I will post the model numbers that i have tonight also bought from CW dismantlers since i fitted them my handling has gone to Sh1te big style looking to rip them off and get something better at first i thought they were fine but now its getting silly so i checked part numbers a couple of nights back came back as TD shocks and springs, i bought my brothers set from a local rover breakers in nottingham and his handles great but his car isnt here to check model numbers he's in London. wish id done more research into this.CWDISMANTLERS
burbleboy
Thats not good news.I DID do research into this and all was positive. What has transpired is that cw dismantlers were sending out what they had and 'may' have known about it or may not have. People would have got the right kit and raved about it, but some, like us, got sh*te! There was nothing we could do but now we know, we can sort it...at great hassle though. Even with the wrong set up on the front, my civic went over the bumps and cambers great, but turning into sharp corner was hedge looming stuff! burbleboy
Dear burbleboy,Hi, mate listen this is getting ridicules now, 1 - 1.4 zs only come from Ireland, 1.6 zs's only come from 2004 onwards, we only only break zs 180 orange and yellow till late 51 plate then whit and blue onwards. All these vehicles are noted on the DVLA system as zs180's seriously mate you have 180's. If they are not what you want follow the returns process as theres nothing more we can do then supply what you ordered.- cwvehicledismantlersOur info regarding spring colours must be wrong then? or not Im going to take the better of the shockers and swop to the blue / orange springs and hope that solves the problems...failing that i'm fitting standard vti-s onto mgzs shocks. Never again will i meddle with retro-fit suspension!
steveolkinevel
p**s take when stuff like this happens, ad just send themBack every thing and get a refund, get some lowering springs for the standard shocks or get some cheapish coil overs from an eg civic, thats what ive got and to be honest there ok been on over a year had the car air born a few times and they still dont leak handlings ok to, not going to say there excellant because there not, but you get what you pay for,All the best,
NIKH25
I wouldn't take the spring colour info from that other forum as gospel do you know where they got the info from, think my shocks are rnb000160 and rnb00170 fronts, the springs have blue stripes on the rears but nothing on the fronts.I'm not saying these guys are perfect and I didn't get mine from there so I don't know what they're like to deal with but they say they only break zs's and I've only ever seen zs stuff listed in the shop nothing from the lower models.I know that doesn't help you much, sorry you're having so many problems and hope you sort something soon. Are you going to try fitting these ones
