double check this one but im pretty sure there is a bolt or nut in the engine bay firewall aswell :!:

so don't try removing the heater matrix box un-till you have checked ;)

The whole bleeding dash has to come out to get at heater matrix.

i had the same shifter setup and is rocks

you can bypass the core so you can drive the car =]

in the engine bay look for the supply and return hoses to the heater matrix at the firewall

remove them join them with a piece of copper pipe and clamp them with hose clamps (screw/bolt on ones)

or you could try stop leak, but you have it out so that a last option

plz post a few pitcures of the whole matrix and where you think it is leak

I've not got it out yet. Tonight hopefully. Can get a replacement from local breaker off a 2002 rover 45. Not sure if its the same part?

Alternatively if the leak is obvious then I could try and solder it.

Bit miffed at the minute. Always something wrong, and this is a nightmare.

Sad times.

ground to a hault now as i cant get the clips off the hoses going into the matrix. the pesky so n so in the factory has decided to put them in upside down so no tool on the earth can reach them.

heres where im at....

the only dashboard im used to seeing in my living room is XBOX dashboard.

oh well this makes a change...

whilst your here get a hosepipe anf fire it in the bottom corners of the windscreen. see if any water is getting in. especially around the ECU area.
