Krzys
Are you sure about the differences on the engine? I've never seen/heard that before .. They're all the k20a2 ?? Thought it was just the K20a (JDM) that was different? That was my thinking too.... Out of curiosity, when you have it all apart could you take a photo to show us the difference please? beastgtir
I will be splitting it apart towards the start of march, unfortunately both heads I have are pre-facelift ones.

beastgtir
Pls see the above photos, if the engines were identicle the same photo would be used. the 2003 has upto 13 items shown in the list where as the 2005 only has upto 11. and some parts have different part numbers. Having seen both heads off in the past, when a pre-facelift valve was put against a facelift one it differed. Wether they updated the part number to reflect the later part now used im not sure. but the engines have differences. I've only come across these bits fully myself since embarking on the K24 build. sennz
K20A2 PRB's are all the same no matter what car they came out of. Be it a RSX, Pre-face EP3, Facelift EP3, and the older SI.
beastgtir
That's incorrect as stated above with a quote from "skunk 2"... They may be pretty similar but not identical. As the photo above shows, differences in suppliers and parts. That's just for the head. I haven't dug deep into anything else but I can imagine there may be other small changes. Krzys
Cool! You have most of the bits now then? Or at least enough to make a start on the build?
beastgtir
Work begins first week of March. Waiting for the weather to improve a bit as no electricity at my mates unit. All parts have been bought/paid for so only a matter of putting everything together. So far I've managed to tidy up the interior and get the seats cleaned up. Car is filthy inside. once the engine n box are built, it will be quickly fitted and finished within couple of weeks.
Krzys
Yeah reassembly I would think should be pretty straight forward once the motor is done!
