OK Small update, shortly after I thought I had engine misfire troubles I took it off the road and bought a Volvo V70 to tide me over while I bought myself some thinking time. I had a short break enjoyed my 30th birthday with a long weekend in Cormwall at the Eden Project, came back and had a think..........surely a car on 100 thousand cant be knackered especially a honda? so I got hold of another compression tester and a timing strobe light and check the dizzy timing and the compression again........all OK so the first tester I used must have been faulty. I have fitted a new sump gasket as I was loosing oil all over the road outside my house, i have cleaned all the coolent and now its sitting on my brothers drive. i have done some further reading and a lot of my issues point to the MAP sensor being faulty so i took a trip to Albert Looms in Derby and got a MAP sensor of a 2.2 DOHC prelude fitted it and guess what no more over fuelling or hesitation fitted it Monday morning took it for quick blast was all good but still felt like the ignition wasn't correct. so i borrowed my bros HT leads swapped em for mine and it ran sweeeeeet.......... so moving forwards I need some new HT leads, need to change my clutch for the new boxed Genuine Honda one i got and the slave cylinder, check the TPS sensor and im going to change all the intake gaskets and clean it out. when this is all done i am going to look at sorting my suspension out and need two new front tyres before September.1 point

I have also worked in the industry with my Dad but doesn't mean you know everything, you don't normally have many Honda's to fix to be fair its normally Vauxhalls and fords cheap junk these things never tend to go down.1 point

ok I will leave it there, I have deleted any threads referring to other users who I might unintentionally upset through reference, I think I might go to a MG breakers near me find a face lift 2004 180 and take them off myself, see how that is all else fails I will be left with either meister r's or buying an ek 1.4 in the mean time I can enjoy driving my Volvo ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and my jeep.1 point

To reiterate it wasn't you @jimbob738. It was the bad attitude and 'I'm right because I've been in the trade and the rest of you don't know shit'1 point

In fairness mate you can't call a group of people amateurs with car set up when you don't know what an FRSU is. Fast road set up. No they aren't corner weighted, trying to corner weight a deck is just a waste of money. You'd never get it right. The only time a car warrants being corner weighted is a track going/prepped car for optimal balance.1 point

All done, was easier than i thought. It was one of the little o-rings that had split causing the leak!1 point

my point isn't what I would spend that on its more that those cars have more sensibly priced options that aren't one extreme to another with the M it seems to be Stock or Full race spec theres no semi race options for example which to me was what the ITR stuff would have been if it fitted with the ARB............................... And please don't think I am Hating on the M's I have owned 4 of them but the only thing that's always let them down has been the Handling and availability of uprated parts for them at a decent price.1 point

Again as Krzys has said, the Miesters arent that bad .. I paid £750 with a discount for my HSD's for my EK .. And there are plenty of variations to be had on those .. As it happens, they work bloody well on the deck too lol1 point

I second this I went through hell with this cr*p setup and CWDismantlers were selling any old MG Cack as zs180 this and that when It wasn't but that wasn't apparent until after you fitted them, I have DC2 shocks on and they are low, if your mixing them the back will be higher on zs180's which again feck the handling up. the issues im having are uneven tyre wear even once tracked and cant fit the rear ARB so looking to go meister R soon or look into other shocks. DC2 stuff is made for lighter back end and wrong spring rates as Andrew pointed out a while back and the MG ZS is too stiff all round and the fronts made for a v6 lump not a 1.8 DOHC, short and narrow of it is you cant do this cheaply if your thinking of doing that just stick to the stock shocks and put eibachs or cheap pi's on it. MB6 suspension = nightmare, hence why meister R prices are expensive coz they know they have a niece market with us £700+ is bloody obscene IMO but what choice we got for a car that's worth £12-1500 tops.1 point
