This is the only photo I can find of them so you can see

It’s a bit blurry but they’re the same, just without all the extra wiring. Someone actually paid $225 for them too haha! Madness! I paid £15 for mine, do need a good refurb but I enjoy doing that sort of thing, and getting a bargain too aha

Nice! That's the larger fogs, quite rare and really popular. You got a bargain! Think they are made from different materials compared to the standard civic mb fogs which are small projectors.

  2. Yeah the ignition stuff can be a minefield. The comments on that video are quite useful too if you have a read through. Bit about the primary reading "1" is explained a bit too. Not entirely convinced your coil is bad though (know that doesn't help!) even though primary is reading a bit high, is there any way you could maybe pick up one cheap at the breakers just to try it on yours?

  3. Update:

Ok, from searching, it sounds like the primary should be reading no more than .8 and the secondary should be between 16 and 20. Got a video here >>

That's for a Honda Civic coil 92 to 2000 so should cover ours. There may be two different types though as comments show this: according to Haynes manual, if you have a 1996-2000 Civic with a Hitchachi distributor: primary resistance is 0.45-0.55 and secondary resistance is 22.4-33.6k-ohms

  4. Not a question we've had before I don't think mate. Wondering if the good ole Hayne's book of bollocks might have the answer? I've got one in the garage, will try and find it tomorrow and have a look for you. If no spark most likely is the coil pack, although not a common fault on these. Are you seeing any EML by any chance? If so might be the ignitor in the dizzy that's faulty (happens on the B18 and almost sure the D series have the ignitor as well).

  5. Just a couple of things to do then! lol😆 That sounds like a good bit of work planned, should be nice when done. Yeah the window switches are a bit different for some reason, not sure why. The twin fog light switch I think I still have in stock from when we had the Civic5 parts shop. Will need to check as not sure where all the stuff is since we moved house, it's in the garage somewhere! lol You'd need to get the plug/wiring harness for it though as it's different to the non-fog cars. Came a as a kit from Honda to the dealership, with a small wiring harness for in the dash that replaced the one you have. The one in the dash goes from the switch to the fuse box, and there's also a relay. Then there's a plug on the drivers side inner wing for the harness from the fogs to plug into.

  6. Haha, that's brilliant news! Vtec all the way to happiness! Is that the wee vtec solenoid that you replaced or am I thinking of something else? Think they have a wee filter in them too?

Tubs is looking awesome mate! Time I got my arse into gear and get DD back on the road!

  7. Haha, long time no see @Chief! Good to see you back and even better to see you've still got the Aerodeck mate! Know the feeling with leaving them for ages untouched and unloved. The MOT ran out on DD way back in October last year, hasn't been on the road since. She had an ABS fault that was a pain to sort (jury is still out on whether the light will stay off, not been out to test drive her yet!) and also a leak that keeps soaking the front top right corner of the headlining, to the point I too am gonna have to take the whole lining out to A) find the bloody leak! and B) get the lining stuck to the board again. I've checked and sealed all around the windscreen, had the roof rails and gutter trim all off and seam sealed the whole length of the gutter both sides, checked the sunroof seals and door seals, nada! Still it finds a way in! So got my work cut out as want her back on the road asap. Feel guilty seeing her lying there in the garage (still on axle stands!) all neglected.

Yours will deffo rise again! Was mint before you took her off the road, and once you fix the little faults she'll be right as rain again. That photo of the brake disc tho!!!! lmao  :laughing1:

Keep us updated mate, looking forward to seeing more of this!

    What's the abs fault again?

It's showing as right rear sensor. I've fitted a new one but it then threw both rrs and lrs so thinking it's maybe the wiring at the rear. Not sure what the voltage is meant to be from the plugs where the sensors plug in at the rear? Think when I tested it was showing 4.7v?

  9. Not sure mate as not sure what wire you tapped into/ changed the feed too? Did any fuses pop (both in the interior fuse box and the one in the engine bay)? Did you here anything pop/get any burning/smoke?
