Yes the p9k ecu is obd2 but the loom, therefore the plugs are obd1. Certainly the lugs need some shaving on the p72, I'm not sure about the p28 or p30, I think they're obd1 so plug straight in. Hopefully someone will confirm. I know H-tune supply p28's in various states of tune but I have heard varying reviews about them.

The ring you're thinking about is a spigot ring which you'd only need of the wheels had a different centre bore. The calipers will be fine, the wheels are 16" diameter so they'll be further away.

Fairly straight forward from memory but you'll want pipe clamps to stop fluid leaks.

So true, I paid more than that for my D2's, just rears, if they fell apart like that in such a short time I'd be most displeased to say the least.
