-
Well i havent even taken the masking off yet, i dont if i should do 1 more coat and havent the spare funds at the mo for tyres. I am looking forward to fitting them tho, would you guys accept a trusty old accord at a civic meet ?
-
She failed the MOT but the gd news is, it was only a split brake hose! Ive had to order one from ebay as no one has any in stock in the uk apprantly. He mention about the springs but said just drill some holes and cable tie the bottom of the springs down haha Other than that it did well!!

Did some more today, the front bolts holding down the steering rack didnt have any sub-frame between the head and nut so i fixed that and managed to get the rack away from the sump by about 4-5mm which is better. And then i thought to myself 'well i havent started it for a while and the carb is clean now' lol so pushed it forward and skipped back into the house to get the keys lol Lets just say i needed new pants and wash afterwards from all the petrol i filled the garage with ahahahhaa LOVE IT!

Finished the interior, one of the rails came apart was a bit of messing about getting it back in. Need to find/buy another seat belt for the passenger seat. Next is get the rear axle off, sort the steering rack gap, manifolds and sort of gearbox oil out.

lol 99% agree apart i was drinking and i have to arrive in retro style. She didnt like driving it anyway so no worries

All wheels done Had a strange moment, my missus drove me home last night in the accord, found it so weird and a bit protective lol i dont like being a passenger in my own car!

Welcome to the accord crew lol Is it purple ? -
first wheel painted, the paint is still wet lol super fresh!
-
oh no i will hopefully make a profit, they are rare now. Need to buy some spray glue to carpet the centre console, dont where to buy it or just it online ?
-
the wench gets me to work lol Nice, i would of liked to have seen that! they are proper rare as well!

I was quite surprized it was a spacer saver. Got 2 decent 5mm tread part worn tyres fitted now, so much cheaper than new ones. Garages these days want 60 quid fitted bloody stupid considering its a mass used tyre size or maybe 14" wheels dont get used anymore..
-
no vtec the rim is bright orange lol got the back lower with 4 paving slabs lol
-
went for a drive earlier and i start hearing a low grumbling and i think oh poo maybe a spring has come out, so i pull over and its a flat tyre lol My 2nd flat tyre ever! so out comes the space saver ? im sure it cant of had that from new, anyway its bright orange and very dodgy to drive on!
-
Bit of work done today, fitted my front brake pads and after realizing i dont have rear discs lol i gotta send the bearing hub back. Also i cut 1 and half coils off the rear springs and its not enough really but i think if i have stuff in the back it will be lower and wont sag down i dunno. Oh i got rid of the falling to bits hub caps, looks good

Check this cortina GT out, if only i had the cash and space to build this! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161314234109?clk_rvr_id=638388280448

Lol a burnout will be recorded once the diff is sorted out!
-
Michael rawlings burnouts!! lol
-
Finished painting the floor, put the brace bar back in, removed the lifting eye and bolted the left seatbelt in properly! Hopefully my mate will have welded my centre console and i get that back in! As for the rear diff, its quite a bit more expensive than i thought, if im going to change the axle anyway i might as weld it and have some fun with it lol

Wheels are primed! Also had trouble getting front brake pads, i went to both Allparts and old bucks auto and they had none in stock anywhere! The bloke at Allparts said the 242mm pads are discontiuned but luckly i have the other size 262mm The rear bearing came and the front pads are finally on there way! Mot at the end of the month!!
