Krzys i know a bit expensive but they are well made and lightweight
-
Yeah thats sounds gd tom, i cant say no to purple lol but im thinking black and gold.. Minilite got back to me, they will drill the 4x100 holes for me and at the same price as normal wheels. 15 x 10 £200 each for rears 8 x 15 £180 each for fronts
-
been searching for minilites lol not going well tho, the only set that fits is in 13" x 7 whick is too small! Ive emailed Minilite to see what they say about getting a set 15" x 10" 4x100 pcd...
-
hes so quick that its like a puff of wond and ur hair is gone lol some ideal wheels... i think 255/40 15" mini lites would look sweet.. http://www.minilite.co.uk/products.htm
-
Haha i just someone to post me pics of maybe 10" wide wheels i could fit to it... ... Hehehehe...
-
Lol yeah i would of but it had to go. Well i can do most of it, i can get ally sheets quite cheap and bent up for me for nothing. The real cost will be wheels, coilovers and the BGW! Ive already going to buy the bolt on wide arch kit as that will let me cut the rust off and for a bonus it becomes beastly
-
Hell yes, ideally id like to do ground up rebuild of another engine to get the most out of a blower which excess of 200bhp! Here's some pics of 2 mx5's that i would go for, the red one is the perfect image but i actually saw in person the black one at jts in 2012 i think but is a bit extreme for a daily lol
-
I think too many ppl drift the mx5 and id like too as well but at the same time its my daily which i cant drift all the time so might as well make her grip like hell and get to work even quicker lol Not that i want to do that of course lol
-
the noise is back, when i started it up after work and it crying straight away but i think the alternator belt was a bit slack so see how it goes. On a gd note, theres a small section of up hill that snakes right left, raced a ep3 tyre R and he was just about pulling away from me, im seriously thinking of not drifting it and going track beast.. Big wide wheels, big wing, carnards, front splitter, coilovers, poly bushing...
-
My mate had a listen and guess what no noises at all, typical! lol Gave it a wash and a hoover beforehand, maybe i cheered her up..
-
Changed the front discs and power steering pump today but the squeal is still there so a mate has one of those car stethiscopes and we're going have a closer listen
-
That would be a fun daily lol

Took the 5 to the garage today as the gearbox started a little whine last week and after an hour of driving i can feel the heat from gearbox through the centre console! sothey said it had decent oil and up to the level. He said dont worry it and 1 of the front bearing has gone dry. Also the power steering pump came, so got plenty to do at the weekend
-
update! Did the milling on the mani and its fitted! yay only thing is if the steering shaft becomes an issue i will have to put in another universal joint.
-
their actually 6x8" lol I was gunna fit the brake discs today but after doing hovercrafting, quading, clay shooting and rage buggies yest for a stag my body is shattered lol
-
The speakers are crazy, the bass im getting is so loud and clear ive never had that from door speakers before but i think the door depth is playing a big part..

Ordered another power steering pump as mine is playing up again! Got a 2004 one for a tenner bargain thursday!
-
Picked up new discs at the weekend but had to take them back as the 5 doesnt have abs. Also new speakers came today
-
Welded the manifold at lunch today, did about 20mm of weld on the top and spot blob on the inside, will to mill it on thursday Before: Afterwards:

Starting fitting the headers yesterday, the passenger side engine mount needed cutting away to fit the shape, the drivers side was a different story. The starter motor had to come off, gunna need to source a shorter one, the engine mount plate doesnt need modding but now i have the problem of the steering shaft is the way, after many heated hammerings to get 1 of the pipes bent in to go around the shaft it still doesnt fit good enough, going to have to machine the mani plate at a slight angle to when bolted on it pulls in tighter and need to get some 2.5" pipe and start welding Also been looking at GPS speedo's which will do just fine unless im in the middle of nowhere lol
-
on slightly different note, my gas monkey t-shirt and beer holder have arrived! going to pick them up in a bit from reception!! :D
