  1. Just managed to sort a deal where i swop my diff + cash for a Torsen 2 lsd diff. Woop removing it friday and fitting sunday woop lol
  2. It fitted perfect and i cut the stock tip off, went to halfolds to get an exhuast tip and bloody useless didnt have anything at all. Sounds quieter but still has a rasp Whatever it is lol
  3. its a musical instument for a car actually lol
  4. I know a guy who works at the audi service cetre across from us, hes just done his sleeper mk3 with 1.8T pushing 320bhp, really makes me want to do a sleeper! The austin looked mint!
  5. Progress! Mani flange chopped and re-welded with gd clearence now one end of the flange with bent out a bit but sorted that out. Also found the engine code, sent the pic to U.S mate of mine and he said its a 1978 302 5.0L but it does say 6L on it which was a slight let down lol Ill hopefully order a smaller starter soon!
  6. yeah not going there ever again! Progress, bought a new back box, given it to my mate to cut the box out and weld in a piece of pipe, should be good. Was chatting my new friend at the audi service centre across from us, hes finished his sleeper mk3 golf, looks lowered thats it, its got a 320bhp TT 1.8 turbo lol
  7. i dont know but he cant have much work on! they didnt call me today! Well the mk1 from the corner from me was finally behind me on the way home and of course he stopped at my drive lol The kid seemed alright and nice mk1, we started chatting about the exhuast, he wants his as loud as mine now lol i said i can sort him out a pipe as im doing mine as well, had a look under his back end and its got i think a custom mild steel system already but its real quiet but the previous guy he bought it from had sort of track prepared it, it had half inch box section shaped into a anti roll bar welded on the back of the wishbone brackets? looked s**t lol Anyway i showed him the tina and he poo'd his pants and was shocked at the beast haha and turned out he knew some guys i know as well in the modding world which is cool.
  8. What a waste of time today was! Left work early to go to powerflow in slough, took a bit of finding but i was 15 mins late. I go into the office and they say hes gone home, u were meant to be here at 3!? So i disagreed of course. He gets it on the lift and sends him a pic, 1 flange with 2 bends and a straight, very simple! The manager had to explain what i wanted (which he got first time) to the exhuast guy 6 times! And then quoted me £170! What a moron! I felt like just doing it myself would be easier lol So he said he'll call me tomorrow but ill proby buy the cheapest back box from new and cut the box out myself and weld a straight bit of pipe in. This was my tuesday afternoon
  9. Nah tom i see the twin exit all the time, the pipe is 2" anyway so i will go for a 2.5" straight cut tip single. Cheers kryzs
  10. the exhuast is poppin and banging blowing like crazy lol Booked in into powerflow to sort the rest of the back section on tuesday. Noticed the heat shield on the downpipe is moving, another job to do!
  11. Its hard at the moment, got too many hobbies and i keep spending time and money on the mx5 lol It should be done soon and ill do test run of the engine which always gets my buzz for it goin again!
  12. Next stage of the manifold, cut the flange off by 5 mm, lots of grinding later and its almost ready to be re welded I have a small hope after this chop it might fit.
  13. nice ep3, looks very clean, just need more low and wheels sorted!
  14. Krzys i checked that already and theres no play, its just dry no probs. Well i decided to remove the rear rusted out box, had to cut the bottom nut off. Lets just say its better.. Krzys sort this link please
  15. well the bearing was easy but just as i always predict, the noise is still there coz its coming from the drivers side! ffs! lol Guess i need to order another one :/ picking up the mid section later, might get the box removed tomorrow depending on weather my mate is working or not as hes a welder.
  16. Dont start! It handles well but looks like a 4x4 lol coilovers coming soon me thinks..
  17. wheel bearing came in the post and the exhaust is getting worse so im picking up a centre section on friday and i might be tempted to fit my bike race can
  18. minilite have got back to me again with these offsets for the wheels i want- 8.0x15 ET-16 to ET09.0x15 ET-30 to ET+410.0x15 ET-19 to ET+3 -19!! holy hell lol the 8" wide front will be fine i think but the 10" wide rears will need to be +3 (this a gd site to compare http://www.wheel-size.com/tire_calculator/?wheel1=205-55-15X6.5ET45&wheel2=255-40-15X10ET3) but from reading ppls forum 5's with wide arches they fit fine, some said fit 16" to fill the gap! lol
