  2. cheers james, i got the black insets refitted to the headlight glass/plastic to show as an almost finished article, but it doesnt appear to want to work for some reason. ill get some pics once they refitted to car
  3. i may do when i get home, it has started to wrinkle already. it says on the can to do either, just takes longer to air dry. if i want it more wrinkly i will add another layer and bake it
  4. Right, got round to doing a few mods last night/today. first up, rear indicator bulbs..nice and easy! from this: to this much better! also got this through the post yesterday, £6.50 from ebay, all metal (thing weighs loads!) then, this happened what a pain in the arse to remove tho! unless i did it wrong, i didnt remove the front bumper completely, but they wouldnt come past the bumper support bar very easily. just gave them a good yank...is that right? anyway, out they came eventually this was the first time my missus had ever cooked a headlight.....forgot to put the veggies in tho took literally 2-3 mins to soften and pull apart now on to today, and out came the lenses, orange indicator bits, and on went the paint note also my plug cover getting the treatment too! and the almost finished article very nice, only problem i have is the silvertec bulbs i ordered are offset pins, which fit the rears but not the fronts! DOH!! also last night i have started the nitromors! amazing stuff all clean and after a few coats gonna take a while to dry, but will get pics once fitted. cheers for looking guys, all comments welcome as usual Dom

  10. cheers andrew. nice to be away but nice to get back too! the missus has put up with my car antics for 11 years know, so she knows what i expect of her! LOL!!
  11. right, havent been on her to update for a while, been on holiday and sorting out the work rally car. before i went away, and one of my last posts, i mentioned i was just waiting for my new gear knob to turn up......and it did just before i went away. and OH MY GOD what a steal off eaby! genuine EK9, never been used (only fitted) was like out of a box and i got it for £15!!!!! i never get deals like that off ebay! anyway, chuffed to bits with my new purchase, i set about sorting the gear gaitor and knob combo. first up, removing the trim and gearknob everyone knows how im sure, unscrew knob, yank up trim then i removed the old gaitor by simply removing the old staples. once off just transfer the old collar and rubber band to the new one in a similar sort of place. (i did it inside out to make life a bit easier). when i said I did it, i meant my missus so once all that was sorted, it was a case of working out how to reattach it to the plastic surroung under the trim panel. normal staples dont go through it, so resorted to a couple of screws to hold it all together. you cant tell once its all back together! so there we go, one new gaitor and knob, i have already fitted it into the car, just dont have any pics yet. will get some up soon but must say, the new knob has made shifting much more pleasurable!! now, to sort out some springs!!!!! cheers for looking guys all commment welcome as always
  12. cheers for the comment guys! i have checked with the seller about them being for standard wheels, he said they are fine, and he has been using them on his standard wheels for ages. i think i gonna go for some springs from ultimate styling.....35mm all round. i was watching a set of MGZS shocks and springs on ebay, but they went for loads......i seem to miss out on the bargains!! i will keep it all up to date as and when i can. cheers guys Dom
