  1. yeh i saw a how to on repairing the individual resistors but ive never soldered anything so didnt fancy starting on that. one question about painting the rocker cover, when i take it off can i blast it with a hose on the inside to clean off all the oil on it? will i have to re oil it? i know how to strip the paint and re paint it, just not sure about how to clean it. yes mate you can clean the inside but it would be easyer to clean it with degreaser and then hot water and washing up liquid (fairy) if poss ?

  3. i would change the oil and add as much stabalizer as poss ? if you drain your oil into a clean tub you mite get some idea ov what it mite be with the condittion ov the oil . also check the drain plug for steel shavings ?
  4. try sum ov this ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LUCAS-HEAVY-D ... 1c1d4a030b add to gear box oil and see if it makes a difference i use it in my engine/gearbox/powersteering oils and it makes a difference . i use lucas engine oil stabalizer all round !

  7. thanks mate it does but i had to move the censor thats on the top ov the inlet mannifold . iv just put a bracket to the air temp censor and mounted them side by side
  8. ok iv had this idea in my head for a while now ! so i thought now was a good time to try it iv cut the end ov two standerd front stabalizer bars and welded them together also im going to tie them together with an alloy plate with civic cut out ov it so heres a few pics ov wot iv done ! i will post more pics wen it finnished .
  9. mine sounded a bit like that before i changed my engine ! it also whisled when i accelerated up hills ? with the sound ov it it realy could be anything . does it get louder when you rev it ?
  10. i have seen a few like that before ! mines starting to go but only just .on mine theres a kink in the lip where the pannels join i think its a drainage hole ? but on doms i think someone has pulled/scraped the joint sealent off and thats proberbly why it has got that bad ?
  11. i recon vht primer any base coat and vht clear coat should last a while
  12. i think im going to change the place and bottle iv been thinking ov making one out ov a red anodised drinks flask also a matching oil catch tank that way i can mount them with mountain bike bottle holders
  13. top marks for the rocker mate guess you didnt do it in the shed with a finnish like that ? which one did you paint flip/or yellow ?
  14. i recon you would hear it more from the timing belt end ? try the peice ov wood trick to determanate it whereabouts ?
  15. thanks simon its been more enjoyable than hard but worth every minute . theres still more to be done yet so that means more fun for me
  16. put a K&N sticker on it he'll love it Bit negative really considering all the fantastic work he has done and i dont think it looks cheap ive used K&Ns that cost 70+ that all go out of shape, pipercross sh1te that fall to bits the cheap unviersal ones ive found to be more robust than any rip off brands and JTF sell them for a tenner. The work he is doing is saving another Deck going to the scrappers so i think roll on with the stainless steel piping where ever he wants it it looks tight i am loving that rad i want one make sure you detail what you do with the piping coz i want to copy it i will post pics mate but i wouldnt recomend fitting a rad that big if you dont have to ? i only did it cus am daft im reconing that it will over cool the engine so i will be blocking the air flow from the front grills
  17. the timing belt and water pump ar at the other side ov the engine ?
