  1. Wow! The fcker has managed what i couldnt...wide wheels! Stunning M car...i'm jelous!!
  2. The vtecs generally like to run a thicker oil than 5 40. I use 10/40 Millers Fully synthetic in mine and have no bother having previously ran 5/40. Stick with the recommended oil of 10/40 and you will be ok!
  3. Can't believe that they followed you for so long when they would have known after checking their system that your car was legal! In all fairness, i have been lucky when it comes to not getting caught speeding sooner. Everyone now and then goes over the limit and it's really only a matter of time before were caught..unless your name is Sarah!
  4. I hate using quote functions on my phone! In reply to Daves post...its unfair that the cops chase poor guys like me but the law is the law and i knew i was over! I think that restrictions outwith normal speed limits are for vehicles with a tacho fitted or a certain weight/height. I was driving a wee van without a tacho so normal speed limit applies!
  5. It was 19mph over the limit mate! 89 in a 70! Its my own fault and accept its easy to go over the limit if your not really paying attention and also driving a 130bhp van!!
  6. I work in a parts department for Mercedes Benz and constant nightshift. One of my 'unofficial' duties is to pick up the service department driver who drops trucks off at customers premises. On way back to the work at 1.30am in the Vito 113CDI, i was held up by two trucks side by side on the motorway trying to overtake. So i put the foot down when i got past and got nabbed at 89mph in a 70mph limit! Feck! My fault obviously, but i always check the slip roads in my mirror when i pass them. The coppers must have been well hidden. I questioned their speed detection tool as i haven't seen it before but they explained everything but i knew deep down i was speeding anyway! They were nice coppers and i was nice also..as always! £100 fine and 3 points! I've been two years now without points and it's frustrating that it wasn't even in my MB6 but in the works van!!! Gotta explain to the Mrs that less will be going into the wedding fund this month!
  7. Here is my rough guide to fitting these EVO seats http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/8147-fitting-evo-7-seatsrough-fitting-guide-the-way-we-done-it/
  8. Lol lol i wanted a deeper bucket seat for the track as it holds you in better! I will post up a 'how to' on seats soon folks
  9. Thanks for the comments, appreciate it! Got the seats from Jap Performance Parts, took a while to find the right ones but worth it in the end!
  10. I got complete pelters from my mates and fiancee for this but bought it for kicking around the house...
  11. haha i know i know! I'm an organised person and like to be involved in things! I am off until monday now as it's my stag weekend in Newcastle this Friday till Sunday! I have a beer in my paw right now!
  12. I'm glad you have sorted your car mate, i understand how frustrating things can be! Please keep this car as there worth keeping for a while if you look after them!
  13. Thanks mate, i've been trying to sort pics out for a few hours now! Seats are well comfy, great lower down driving position now!
  14. Just trying to get the soft/hard setup comfortable just now mate. See my above post for the crap i'm facing! Car pulls to the left but i put that down to the o/s/r camber being wrong.
  15. I've had headaches with nearly everything on this one (like all my cars). It just seems to be ME that looses out on things! Tears and tantrums example: Rota wheels: thought they would fit but didn't. Sent back and paid £50 due to damage by tyre fitter and postage costs. Seats: supplied with cracked backing. Went mental down the phone after they said i had signed for them and they were fine when the left shop. I explained that they were that well packed the damage caused was before shipment as plastic hard to break. They sent me a complete new back for free but had to get my work colleague to strip seat and fit new backing. Suspension setup: Been set up professionally for road/track. Picked car up and everything seemed fine. Noticed very slight scrubbage on o/s/r outer tyre. You can physically see that there is more positive camber on that tyre than the n/s/r. I now have to get booked back in for full geo again. The garage aint exactly close to me. Why cant it be done right first time? I do get fed up with all the modding as it always seems to bring feckin headaches. It doesnt help that ive got wedding things and all sorts to organise and problems with cars just makes me cringe! It is worth it in the end but honestly...i'm drained now!
  16. Thanks for the comments, means a lot after all the hassle i've had/having with modding this car!
  17. I will get better quality pics then the weather improves up in scotchland! I also have a picture 'how to' on fitting the seats that i will post up later as i'm fed up with computers today
  18. Thanks mate! Not at all, the seats were £350 posted and fitting them cost me £12 in brackets, £10 for my mates dinner and bought him an item for his house he was wanting that cost £20! I raised the car slightly to handle the scottish roads on this years upcoming camping roadtrips!
  19. Lol lol I had even bought black interior spray for the door cards to match any seats i found but managed to get blue evo 7 ones that matched interior colour and did not have bolsters destroyed!
