    coilovers

If you can save up then buy meister r's as they fit straight on and come with bolts n washers etc. It is hassle free modding! Anyhow, to answer your question, Think the ek coilovers may need a spacer washer for the rear fork on yours but apart from that straight forward i think!
  2. If it was the silver civic then I saw that also. Our cars are a 5 door car and should NEVER have bolt on wheel arches i.m.o! You live and learn! I'm keeping the alloys I have just now so I can sleep at night without worry about any other wheels fitting etc!
  3. Tom, using some mad web host for direct link access! My home computer is being used for wedding stuff and dont want to throw annoy her with car stuff as wedding takes priority....my work is my car haven!!
  4. No mate...even without tyre on (test fitted without tyre also) its mental. Not doable unless u fit a fibre glass group b rally kit!
  5. Trust me mate, i would have ordered the correct size to save me shed loads of money in the first place but rota only do one size for that pcd stud pattern.
  6. Cheers mate, made me feel slightly better that suspension was done with no problems/ seized bolts whatsoever!
  7. Right! Finally found a website that i can use to upload some pictures from work computer; Rota Grid V; 4 x 114.3 et +20 8j wide Tyres Fitted; 205/50/16 This will be helpful to any member on here that may try to fit odd size wheels. (don't do it!) On a positive note COILOVERS AND ADJUSTABLE STUFF FITTED!! (will be added to my build thread later); Poor car needs a wee wash!
  8. I'm working today so i have time to muck about and get pictures uploaded via Dropbox instead of Photobucket (photobucket now blocked my my work for some bizzare reason)!! Yes yes, i tend to use civic5 at work as it's easier than sitting for hours ignoring the Mrs!
  9. The grid v project has dampened my spirits for new alloys tbh, i really liked the wheels and no other set will have the same inpact on me. On the flip side, my old alloys look quite good against the freshly lowered car!! I am keeping my old setup mate, when i sell my car i can sell the new suspension and re-fit old stuff! We all tend to make more money back by selling aftermarket parts than trying to add them to the cost of selling the car. Knight is a good example of that....too much money spent to give away with the whole car!
  10. Nice work mate, after reading that you were annoyed at the car, she is now coming along nicely!
  11. Sorry for late replies. I'm not sure 7.5j would fit tbh. I done my homework on these alloys before i bought them and i honestly thought they would fit with arches folded and a little arch flaring, both of which were doable! Turns out that it's far too much bodywork alterations needed. Driftworks are taking the wheel back less courier costs so that's a relief! Fitted coilovers and stuff yesterday...need front arches rolled now to get a decent camber setup. Going to sort out Monday and see if the guy who done my Accord arches is available! Cars + wedding preperaton = Stressed oot!
  12. Yeah mate that's the size but honestly, there mega wide. I am admitting defeat and have asked Driftworks if I can send them back.
  13. Me too mate! I got an email back from the arch company asking the tyre size and wheel dimensions. If they thought the job was a no goer, from the pictures, then they would have said that. It's kinda reassuring that they're maybe going to persue the project, but I'm clutching at straws and obviously depends on ££
  14. Cool i will try that later after i do some work! I think the Rota project will come to an end soon. I can't realistically see the fabrication company doing the work for anything south of £500 (which is what my limit is for arch work). The car is not worth all the hassle to fit a set of wheels, the car would look completely different and may not look subtle. I will wait for chizfab.com to get back to me with a possible solution but i think i will have to sell them. I will ask Driftworks if they would take them back but realistically i will need to sell them via stancenation.com or facebook etc. Cant see Driftworks taking them back as one has been fitted etc.
  15. Needs more work than that mate! (Wish civic5 had an option to upload pics straight from computer rather than use the likes of photobucket!!)
  16. Thanks Krys but im headin to my bed the now! Photobucket account is set at private but i will sort later on! Honest, wheels are mental!! Flol lol
  17. Got a tyre fitted onto one of the Rotas this morning and test fitted to the n/s/r.....the news isn't good! The tyres fit on perfectly, not stretch at all but they are very wide indeed! I have tried copy n past from photobucket but it ain't pasting on here. I have emailed the pictures to the fabrication company that will be doing the arch work to see what they think and where to go from here. It's a car, and cars can be changed in many ways, so its not the fact it can't be done....it's "how much is it going to cost" and will it take the look away from my mb6 with regards to wide arches etc. Nothing is ever easy with my cars! However, I needed the coilovers and stuff so that's ok! I will await their reply and look at their email through my fingers.......... Watch this space. Alastair
  18. Thanks mate, just needed a second opinion on them and your way of thinking was the same as mine
  19. A late christmas.... I now need to decide what colour of wheel nut i need! Thinking about these...http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=HONDA&model=CIVIC&year=1996-00+CIVIC&level1=WHEELS+%26+TYRES&level2=WHEEL+ACCESSORIES&level3=LUG+NUTS&id_product=7473
  20. I went with bronze! had to have those wheels and after you guys pointed me in the direction of the colour bronze and gave me pics...its grown on me!
  21. 2014 is a big year for my MB. Decided that as i'm keeping the car for another few years it must get a revamp. List as follows; Meister R coilovers....bought + fitted Skunk 2 Front Arms....bought + fitted D2 Rear lca's....bought + fitted D2 rear camber kit....bought + fitted Rota Grid V 16" Alloys....sent back Front arches rolled Rear Spoiler New custom exhaust tip (to match the contour of the rear spoiler) Full clay and polish Maybe skunk 2 manifold and dc2 cams later in the year...maybe!
  22. Poor car but you have had it for 4 years and loved it so thats what matters! Breaking cars nowadays makes more money. The way to see it is, sell the parts and know in your mind that the parts are going into someone elses pride and joy and they are getting cherished! I may take the seats n rails...
