  1. Here's a list of what's been changed. Spark plugs, HT leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, ignition coil, both O2 sensors, fuel filter, injectors, cleaned out throttle body, tried MAP sensor off my ek3, changed fuel pressure regulator, checked for air intake leaks. Car doesn't use any oil or water.
  2. both O2 sensors are fine they are new, but the car keeps bogging down, I have to reset engine light every time I turn the car off and on, because if I try and drive with the EML light on the car really struggles and starts misfiring to the point I carnt drive. But it's not as bad when the EML light is reset, you really have to be gentle with the throttle to drive the car, otherwise it bogs down badly. And even with being gentle with the throttle the car goes up the Rev range a lot slower than it should do. I hope I can get this problem resolved because the car itself is mint with just over 40k genuine miles
  3. Anyone going to help me out?????
  4. Can anyone tell me what these above readings mean as I don't have a clue, are these normal results?
  5. I done a diagnostic test and tested O2 sensors again, this is what I got
  6. I am still chasing the problem that's making my mb2 hesitate and bog down at 4000 to 6500rpm, but when it passes 6500rpm it gives a last little push to the red line, the car is fine when I'm driving at low speeds but I still have to feather the accelerator peddle to stop it bogging down. Today I took the standard air filter off and put a cone one on. and it seemed to run slightly better but still bogging down, and I'm still getting p0171 system too lean. I really need this sorting out asap
  7. Well the car is now insured and on the road, had no choice to drive it as the ball joint snapped last night on my Ek... Since the car has been on the road driving it today, it hasn't been misfiring which is weird because it was when I was reving it in my garden. I can rule the timing out now. But now I have a new problem! When I try to put my foot down abit the car makes power low down but redlines just past 5k, never experienced this before, any ideas please?
  8. ah thanks Tom I havnt had that checked yet, could well be the problem
  9. I have changed the coil today, and it hasn't solved my issue, the car just misfires when it feels like it, and it's worse from cold start, but sometimes it will Rev with no hesitation at all
  10. I highly doubt it's down to that, as the car has only covered 40k miles. Seems like something electrical playing up.
  11. I have recently purchased a civic MB2 as a daily driver but I have a issue where it's misfiring, the usual suspects have been changed recently, dizzy cap, rotor arm, HT leads, iridium spark plugs, 2X new O2 sensors, new panel filter, fresh oil change, tryed a maf sensor off my Ek, and still no good! It mainly misfires from a cold start and is not as bad when warmed up, the coil has not been changed, but do they die at 40k miles because that's all the car has done. Any ideas what else it could be? as I'm getting the car on the road very soon
  12. I must say it feels good to be back in M ownership again!
  13. I haven't finished adjusting the coilovers, still needs to be lower
  14. I didn't mess about fitting them, and put them on streight away, lows now on 👌
  15. As she is sitting high at the moment I thought the first thing I should do is lower her on coilovers 😎
  16. I thought it was them but the previous owner had already changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm, and I have changed the ht leads but still missfiring. I think it could be down to a bad coil?
  17. The only bad thing about the car is that it is misfiring a little bit, but should be a simple fix.
  18. Seing as my Ek ferio needs some work doing, turbo kit, wheel arches, new sills, and some other bodywork issues, I have decided to get an MB2 as a daily and take my Ek off the road for abit until she's sorted. So I have brought this clean example with 40k genuine miles on the clock! Not even run in yet lol, I'm still going to do a few things to this as I'm going to be keeping both cars.
  19. Not a lot has been going on with this car at the moment because I've just got an MB and my Ek is coming off the road soon to have new rear arches put in, steering rack, and a turbo. So I've had to buy an MB to keep for a daily.
  20. Sorted the backfiring issue out today I don't know how but the rotor arm managed to snap in half! And I have not long changed it, so another new rotor arm and distributor cap it is..
  21. I always service my car very well, I'm just surprised it's happened there's not EML light on, could be faulty distributor cap maybe?
  22. it was all going well until tonight when the car packed up around the corner from my house, it just misfired and made a massive bang! Now when I try to start it just bangs and shoots flames and will not run, and I can smell fuel, would you have an idea to what the problem is as the civiclife forum is down and I'm stuck.. Also my car has had the rotor arm and distributor cap changed recently so doubt it's that. Help aprechiated ðŸ‘
  23. I have brought a chrome induction pipe and password jdm rad stay and battery tie in chrome to make my engine bay look better, below is a picture of what the bay used to look like when I first brought her
