  1. thanks mate she is worth saving as you don't see many of these about!
  2. My nice new drive shaft arrived today 😀 and they actually delivered the right part for once! It is now fitted and I've been out bedding the new clutch in, and the Ej9 gearbox is much better than my original one. And the car seems more nippy so I'm happy with it.
  3. yeah I done it on the floor outside my house on my own!
  4. above picture is the old 1.5 vtec e gearbox, which is crap! (Ratios are way too long). And also is the what I believe to be the original OEM clutch as the gearbox looks like it's never been removed!
  5. seing as the driveshaft snapped on my Ek I thought it was time to change the gearbox for an Ej9 one as it has a shorter final drive, I also replaced the clutch for a brand new one at the same time. This is the 2nd time I've done a clutch and gear box swap on a D series and it's so easy to do and I didn't even have to use any specialised tools!
  6. Also the driveshaft decided to basically twist and snap on me the other day.. But not to worry as I've got one on order from euro car parts should be with me tomorrow, that's if the idiots bring me the correct part!
  7. Above before and after pics of the rear seats and spare tyre etc removed.
  8. I'd pay about £300 for that.
  9. On a better note I've got a gearbox from a civic EJ9 so that should help my acceleration along with the new clutch I'm fitting
  10. Looks like my Ek is going to be keeping my local body shop busy soon as she needs X2 rear wheel arches as they are getting more rusty.. Thanks to the previous owner thinking it would be ok to put filler over rust hoping it would go away lol! So thanks to his rubbish body work skills hes made it a lot worse! But not to worry as I've found a website that sells new wheel arches so I'm going to order them and get them professionally put in. The rear of each sill needs a little welding work too but I'll get the body shop to fabricate some metal for this. Going to be a costly job but the cars worth it to me!
  11. I know I remember you saying before you wanted a deck, and you got one in the best colour! Carnt wait to see it at the meet mate
  12. well the front of the rails fitted like it was made for my car but the rear of the rails needed adjusting but I got it sorted
  13. Just found out that the seats are from a Subaru WRX turbo version 3.
  14. Fitted the seats today looks a lot better now.
  15. we will both be there mate, what is the date of the meet? Will have to look at your MC2
  16. Brought my new clutch so I'll be changing that soon, just looking for a gearbox I found an aero deck in the scrapyard with a D16w3 engine, I just need to know if it's a short ratio gearbox? If so I'll buy it. I also brought some seats today that were removed from a EJ9, anyone know what Honda they were originally from? I carnt wait to fit them!
  17. Carnt wait to see this fitted tomorrow bro, going to sound a lot better 😎
