  1. Today my d series turbo d15z has stating misfiring at low rpm my water expansion bottle has overflowed and slightly leaked on to my air filter and it’s damp, would this be enough to go through my intercooler piping and intercooler and into the engine? To cause a misfire as it’s a long way for water to travel. Help is appreciated thanks
  2. Got her up and running started first turn of the key, few things need adjusting like the wastegate and dump valve, but I'm happy with it need a p28 and map now, more to follow.
  3. Finally got my turbo set up for my d series I'm going to be running it at 9 psi for abit then save up for forged internals, for now I'm hoping for around 240bhp with a p28 ecu and bigger injectors etc. The turbo itself is a T3-T4 rated upto 450bhp which is a lot more than I'll be running lol, I am installing this turbo kit myself and I'm not far off being finished, I'm just waiting for my sump to come back from having the oil return fitting welded in, and I have to extend the lambda sensor wire due to new location on down pipe, also need to connect wastegate vac line, I'm hoping to have her running in the next few days
  4. Here's a pic of the alloys fitted, yes I know she needs lows, but that will have to wait until she's back on the road because if I lower her she won't get out of the garden.. Also she now has a front lip.
  5. I got bored of the 16" alloys I have on her at the minute so I bought some vti fanblades, that have been dipped, and they are abit lighter that the current wheels so it's a bonus!
  6. The interior of this civic is finished being stripped and painted, I'm on the look out for a EP3 steering wheel as I know they are a direct fit to the Ek, I think I'm going to leave her a single seater, more fun for me when this turbo gets fitted, The less weight the better.
  7. It's been a while since I have been on here, but I still have this civic it's in my garden and I am currently waiting on a complete turbo kit from America, it should be with me in a week so I will upload pics of me fitting it. Pictures to follow soon
  8. Nice accord I've always had a soft spot for these
  9. And here's what she looked like after my off-roading adventure lol, this car is great off road in standard form! I don't care what people say, I know what it can do and havnt got stuck yet. Most other CR-V owners must have crap off roading skills!!
  10. I have sold my low mileage MB2 for more than double what I payed for it so I'm happy with that, but since my ferio is still off the road for winter, I decided to buy this Honda CR-V, I brought this car just to use in the winter seasons. More about the car.. It's a 1999 B20Z1 CR-V with the AWD system, it's the ES model so has a few of the extra options fitted, does actually go quite well for what it is! And is a lot better off road than people say, I know this because I have done quite a lot of off roading in her and she is very good at it. Got to places my mates Subaru Forester couldn't get to. This is a few of the mods I'm going to be carrying out. Vtec conversion. Lift kit. Meaty off road tyres and wheels. Snorkel kit. Have a JDM bull bar to fit "needs brackets". Dechrome grill headlights etc. The list goes on.... Going to be busy with this one
  11. I know Dave this car has had me and a lot of other mechanics confused, none of us suspected it to be the fuel tank due to the condition and mileage of her, but this car has had a lot of parts changed over and it did cost me a fair bit in total but that's the way it is, if the cars worth it and this lil MB sure is! Now I can finally start spending money on mods not engine parts, the tank cost me £60 refurbed as I couldn't find a new one
  12. Someone needs to get one of these engines into an MB in the future!
  13. Just thought I'd update this post as I have on my project thread, I found out the problem after changing a lot of parts I didn't need to, I finally found out that the inside of my fuel tank basically rusted inside, and it was contaminated with water aswell. This is what made my engine run lean! The problem is now fixed after I replaced the tank and fuel pump and flushed the lines out
  14. Just fitted my fuel tank and flushed the fuel lines out, and my little MB if now FIXED!! She's got all her power back and is pulling nicely for a little 1.4i
  15. yeah I think it's just rusted inside out, no matter as I have brought a new tank today, along with the a fresh fuel rail, I'm sure once fitted my car will be sorted
  16. the filler neck isn't rusty, the whole underside is rust free.
  17. since I've owned the car I've been using shell and bp fuel only, my mate the previous owner uses the same petrol stations as me, but the first owner was an old lady who owned the car from new until 2013, maybe she was using Asda rubbish or something similar? Either way something has gone rotten and rusty in the fuel system and is making my car run like crap
  18. They disconnected the pipe from the fuel pressure regulator and turned the ignition on, fuel squirted out, but when the car is running no fuel is coming to the regulator, he said the fuel should be there at 40psi but I havnt got 40 psi
  19. I took my car to jamtec yesterday and I think they found the problem, the fuel is dirty I don't know from what at the minute, and there isn't enough fuel pressure at the rail, and there's no fuel getting to the fuel pressure regulator
