Thanks for the reply. I've got an mx5 and finding parts for that is ridiculously easy, lots of sites dedicated to spare parts. Doesn't seem as straight forward as that for my mb, would like to keep it going as long as possible.

Where do people get parts from for their Mb's? Euros is good for basic things but I'm currently struggling to find auxiliary belts for when I do the cambelt / waterpump.

Anyone know if it's possible to mount a tow bar to an mb3? Seen a few decks with them fitted but never any hatches.

Yeah that's right, they seemed to just churn out a few different models and didn't really change much between cars to separate the models, I'm just curious as to what spec levels were on offer back in 1998, looks like it was only minor things like AC, sun roof, electric windows etc

Looking for some information on trim levels. I bought an MB3 civic LE with a D15Z8 and I'm just curious as to what the whole LE part is about? It's got a sun roof and heated mirrors (which are always on as there is no switch for them) and that's all the "extras" it has, the dark blue colour seems to be quite rare as well. Only 478 were registered in 1998, what makes the LE spec any different? If anything?

I'm looking to de-gay the horn on my civic, I know a few people have covered this in other threads but they don't state what horns they've bought.....I haven't got a clue about car horns and specs (if that's even a thing). Would love to hear what people have purchased, any links would be much appreciated. Not looking for anything overkill, would just like to get rid of the "excuse me sir can you please move" tone of the horn and give it a bit more bark. Cheers people.

Sorry guys forgot to say I had sorted it, got myself some high tensile bolts off eBay for a couple quid. Problem solved

They are yes, but I bought them 2nd hand and there weren't any bolts in the box, I'll check cyberspeeds website and see if they sell the extended bolts

So I've fitted Meister R's to my mb3. My issue is the lca bolts, they seem a bit short. I understand that my mb3 (1998 D15Z8) uses EG length lca's but use an EK size strut bush. (Please correct if wrong) I followed the diagram provided by Meister using the washers and spacers for the EK set up. Using both the spacers and washers left me with about 5mm of bolt to thread a securing nut onto. I've had to remove the washers and just use the spacers which sit inside the fork and I've managed to thread a locking nut onto the bolt by about 10mm, but it doesn't exactly look reassuring. Ideally, I need a bolt that's another 20mm longer, any help is much appreciated.
