  1. Durring the evenings ive been working on this , going to be a custom sub and amp enclosure (picked up an all in one fly combo that i stripped down for the internals weirdly enough was also only £30) The black fabric tape is just there to hold it all together whilst the titebond wood glue sets (its made from mdf) the origional cover still fits over) there will be a hole in the origional cover so the sub will stick out but not further than say the wheel arch at most so i dont loose usable load space. Still got loads to do on it but its a as and when i get a free night to do some work on it
  2. The slow boat from china arrived and the £30 airfilter arrived, had to do a small bit of fettling by making a 90° joint for coolant as had to replace the rocker cover breather and the origional hard lines are bonded together. Also the vtec has 3 ports in the origional hose and this had 2 so a wee drill hole and a grommet and all was good. It has a simota ? Air filter same as eurocarparts sell but i will be getting a better reputable brand at somepoint. Part load/throttle and its no louder than a standard setup , put the foot down and its propper loud lol and you i can now here vtec kick in quite clearly. Its certainly the most fun £30 ive spent so far, now i need to remove the strut brace and paint it blue. Manged to pick up an alloy rad at the weekend for £30 (preowned with aftermarket hoses and fan) also got a vti coupe magnaflow rear can so working on that to change the flange and add a hanger that was also £30 so got over the drama and moving on. On one of the many trips to halfords for body work supplies i also picked up a tin of vht satin black to paint the rocker cover with aswell
  3. Well managed a quick blow over today to highlight fine fettling still required but its presentable for now i recon , will need to go to the autopaint specialist tomorrow to see about getting some good paint now
  4. That bit was inside the car lol hammered out to reform s good as i could get it, then epoxy and rivits to reinforce the spot welds Some filler to get the shape right and primered up now and looks half decent again . Bloody raging tho bottom of rear door has a score type ding now with blue on it about an inch and a half long, can only imagine its been something dropped like a bike or scooter Having no luck the now
  5. Found a breaker down south and ordered a pair of tail lights as finding them is looking like will become a problem in the future lol Think im going to try snap up most parts i can if reasonably priced and can collect to cut down on postage and get another shed for storage Anyway now the pain is slightly less who wants to see the damage (only have a photo from after i hammered it from being outside in lol
  6. Nah its the side above the tail lightwas pushed inwards Spent all day out reforming as much metal as i could by knocking it out from the inside, then resealed and painted the inside Got fiberglass on some of the outside to get the rough shape so when i can finally find a tail light i can still use it to find quiet places to do some proper forming and filling then painting Untill i can track down a tail light im stuffed would also snatch up a titan silver rear bumper if i could find one Rear end parts are like gold dust
  7. Well disaster struck today , absolutely gutted ........ wasnt paying attention out with the wife and reversed in to a wall and caught the bit above the tail light and the bumper Its too fresh to put a photo up , not going to tell insurance as age of car and it would be a gonner so cracking in see if i can get it looking half decent lol f**k i said lol thats a miracle as im absolutely furious with myself
  8. Today (dont have a pic) i fitted the single greatest thing so far ........ a new ir receiver and now have a keyless entry fob Took a bit of searching and even had a non matched pair the first attempt but got there in the end lol
  9. The £75 ones are real nice but it seems excessive priced dont get me wrong it took me almost a whole day to replicate nd was extremely tedious and not as nice a finish but at £0 cost using offcuts its worth the trade off i recon
  10. Sun visors , can buy leather covers off ebay for around £75 which is really out of my spending comfort zone , have the same material as sunroof left so had a crack at im myself Bit of creasing but saving £75 i can live with it
  11. Absolutely speachless !!!! In complete awe at your work and attention to detail, this needs put in a bubble and preserved forever
  12. Its going to be a lonnnnnnnnnng day lol home ecc teacher would be proud
  13. Made a wee start to tbe interior see if it coulf be done and it looks like a go
  14. For sure i think the were very much a parts bin car from lots of different model civics , not that thats a bad thing at all
  15. Going to try use up some of the leatherette and cover my gear shifter surround as its got a crack in it anyway then Got some vinyl dye coming to try stain the sun visors. also have some vinyl wrap/fablon type stuff for a bargain £5 out bnq thats textured black leather effect to try wrap the fake wood strip in the dash (have a second hand one coming and hopefully heater faceplate controls) so it will be wood effect free. Whatever one works best i think i wil try do the post trims and window surrounds in the rears ....... maybe lol doing the head lining altho easy for able bodied people has me proper knackerd, bruised and sore Need time to recharge Was buzzing yesterday tho, started a facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/237686051614268/?ref=share Was taking pics with the owners consent at a local retail park of a cavalier , the lads from halfords came out nd shouted "should be taking pics of the aerodeck, they are much cooler" even had a fella pull up next to me saying how clean the car looked and you never see these anymore. amazing how back in the day they were mostly overlooked but today keep getting coments on how cool they are nowadays
