Im not sure where to post this but here goes I am painting the good oldrocker cover gun metal/ metallic dark grey with cadbury purple lettersbut I cant seem to find decent dark grey heat resistant paint I have the purple paint already. should I have to laquer it after paint and will that have to be heat resistant aswell to prevent peel? Cheers!
Chandler
i used some white high temp paint for mine as a base coat, then painted on top, i also used lacquer, but to be honest it should be ok using normal paint as i know a few people have used normal paint and its been fine

Grant
Blind as a bat! As said mate, ppl seem to get away with it. Try heat resistant primer on there first though

KiNK43
Nitromors or similar let that do the work. Clean it all down. light sand then start painting. Ya don't wanna be getting bits of paint and grit from heavy sanding stuck in the baffle in the cover.

So just really swim in paint thinner rub that in then sand it down and fingers crossed everything goes to plan!
KiNK43
Yeah man just keep the underside clean that's all really. If bits get into the baffle it's gonna be hard work cleaning it out.
