amand
Hello All, Recently bought a used but working ABS Sensor. Got code 15 so got a rear right sensor. Fitted sensor and the light has not turned off. Anyone know how to turn it off please? Many Thanks
Dave
Once faults are fixed the ABS light should clear mate.
amand
I pulled the code and got code 15 again. The person I bought it off from this forum was 100% sure they tested it and it was a working unit when sold. I watched the person who fitted it. I done ECU Reset. I followed the 20 ignition cycle to clear DTC. No luck. Any suggestions?
amand
It's quite expensive even when used. Plus the person doesn't have any rear rights for sale. Don't want to fork out nearly £80s
amand
He charged me near £80 for it. When you say wire you mean the whole loom from the rear connector the abs pump?
noodels
Test the sensor & circuit with a multimeter maybe just the plug or broken wire somewhere.
Gel
I too suspect you still have a fault e.g. pinched or crimped wire or indeed the new sensor might well be open circuit ? Anyway, here's a procedure that might help : Locate and short out your ABS diagnostic plug with a jumper cable (there's a diagnostic connector for the ABS unit under the glove box) Turn ignition switch on but don't start the engine When the abs light comes on, press the brake pedal As soon as the abs light turns off, release the brake pedal As soon as the abs light comes on, press the brake pedal again As soon as the abs lught turns off, release the brake pedal The abs light will flash twice indicating there are no more fault codes and the light is reset Turn ignition switch off, remove the jumper, abs light should be out If at the end of the above procedure the abs light flashes 3 times, you still have a problem with your abs and the light will not reset until all faults are taken care of. Gel
Sadly Amand , like already suggested ....you've still got a non continuity problem.....might be time to have a mechanic wave his wand.
