Thanks, wow I bet thats an awesome car! My mate has a basic 300bhp setup on his and its quick enough!

Right then, bit of an update on progress.

Spent a couple of grand on the car just on maintenance bits. Basic idea of this project, as well as tuning the car up, I want to get it as mechanically sound as possible and keep it as clean and well looked after as poss as well.

Hit a raised drain when they were resurfacing the road before the new Sainsburys opened in Carlisle, car was already booked in for a new rear diff mount and had it inspected when work was done. Found both suspension arm and 'banana' arm needed replaced and put on the bill with the diff mount it was over £1k.

I put the car through a full service to go with all the service history it already has. Replaced a couple of other bits...door seal, wheel bearing etc and just found out I need a full fuel filler release assembly including release handle after that broke...lol

So fair bit of money spent, and not alot of progress made tuning wise, but the car feels alot better after all the chassis work and the bag full of receipts and service history keeps getting fuller which will be useful when I decide to sell it!

Intercooler and new brakes are essential next year and then to get on track and maybe make an appearance on a couple of stands at shows and the Northern GT4OC calender shoot/meet of course ;)

Well I got a new head unit with my Christmas money after I got an Ipod and wanted to make the most of it! Also had a go at an autotest on a local car park. Those things are definitely more suited to shorter wheelbase cars! Slaloming in and out of tight cones proved difficult lol but I had a right laugh and everyone loved the faff!

Here's how my centre console used to look with the old Pioneer tunebox!

Here's how it looks with the new Sony Head unit, bobby bargain at £80 in the Halfords sale!

All my other lights in the dash heater, speedo etc are blue (fitted by previous owner) so now I look like Brian O'Connor at night... '2 fast 2 furious I'm too fast for ya'll maan!'

i like this project

there is noting more enraging than hitting something on the road (state of some of them)

that was a massive bill but like you say she is worth it and them receipts are gold when selling a car

(f**k that reminds me i through out a receipt for a clutch slave .... i hate rooting through the trash)

Cheers lads, yeah the next owner will get a bag full of receipts and a few bills from the Toyota dealership in a fancy sleeve! Lol. You know when the old fella across the road approves of your be-winged, noisy jap beast because its so well taken care of you're doing something right! Ha!

Spent half of Saturday cleaning and polishing the four ahead of a local cruise. It was freezing but around 400 cars turned up! The car park was rammed at one point with people just dumping cars anywhere they could!

Noticed a couple of photographers taking pics of the car, and this is the best pic from the night.
