johngreen537
For now, leave it as it is. It's wrapped so I'll end up sticking a bit of plastic over the gap with epoxy and wrap it again
noodels
maybee cause the area you had it was in neg pressure when pressure is needed. ;)also the reduced area of intake if you had elbow onmay work like intended tricky as bonnet has to be opened
blacksport01
Well, minor update. Didnt work! Why?? I have no frigging Idea! With the air feed from the scuttle to the intake, no VTEC! No warning lights, nothing, just REALLY struggles for any power.Take it out again, all is fine! So, CBA to look at it, it's ripped off and back to little old CDA with cold feed! Shame really, guess I'll have to fork out for a Gruppe-M when i've got a spare £500! :SOr tegiwa m (copy of gruppe m) exactly the same i believe and dyno proven. Might be slightly less of a bhp gain than the gruppe m but they are very similar. Tegiwa M=£350+delivery I will be getting one but i need a engine first
NIKH25
Looking at this: http://type-r-owners.co.uk/forums/showt ... re-posting!makes me think you would need the cowl to Ram the air into intake otherwise is it not just flowing over the bonnet and straight past, although I'm not sure how it looks as standard so might be talking bow locks. johngreen537
lol, would have been cool if it worked. I'm just not prepared to spend £350+on a air filter box. Even if it is carbon That's just silly money for a used Gruppe-M. I've ripped out the box thing now anyway, decided it was fuuuuugly under my shiney bonnet No doub't I'll give in eventually and buy the Gruppe-M or Tegiwa
johngreen537
Anda few more bits done....No pics for this, but new plugs and Valve Clearances done, cracked my brake fluid resevoir in the process, so removed and replaced that too! Much to my own disgust!Dull plastic wrapped around the wind mirror surround:Much better than the standard dulling black plastic. It wasn't 'that' bad, but everything looks very dull against shiney red paint! My 1st attempt at claying! As suggested earlier by Steve, didn't really do much for the colour, but that's me being VERY picky about it!You can also see how dull the black plastic on the passenger wing mirror is, compared to the CF wrapped one above! That's just washed too, so the plastic is shinier than normal Problem is, being VERY shiny red, the curves in the car body make the paint look pinker in places, but then, out of sunlight, it looks all exceptionally good deep milano again Bonnet, to show you what I mean about 'looking' pink in the bright light, then look at the later pics when its taken from another angle! My rear light is smahed, got hte replacement, just not got round to fitting yet. Rear bumper is marginally out of allignment, as you can see the way the colour changes where the bu,per meets the rear quarter! The paint around that area is mint, so it's light reflection that makes the colour look different from this angle Also, put in a recaro's for the kids in the back Matching colours of course!Take carefull attention to the colours and pattern, then think how lovely they'd be with red ATR seats in the front!Next.... Hmmm. I'm happy with the car at the minute, so nothing 'planned'! Knowing me though, that will only last a week I want real CF seats, but the Mrs doesn't think I should be spending 1k on seats! WOMEN! I wish they understood these things!
jalesi2001
Looks great mate, red is definitely the best colour to have if you can be bothered to look after it! Plus I think red looks best with the carbon too. Top work dude!
johngreen537
The red it rather spunkworthy when it's clean and shiney Have to say though, you don't get near the same satisfaction cleaning it that you do witha black car Black turns mirror like when you've done a proper job, the red, just gets a little shinier and deeper. When you gonna get rid of your silver dash for a nice carbon one
beastgtir
Accord seats are awesome, i had those rare optional red ones in my 02 accord type rthe don't flip forward though buddy, so you would have to wind them to let anyone into the back!but they do come with a pump on the drivers seat to get the best seat support! johngreen537
So, been tinkering again!Newly FLOCKED engine covers!Dyno'd..... Cheers Rich and co!Runs 2-3 here, but run 1 was errr, dismal! 174 (ish) bhp! I was gutted!New air box on route to me now! At worst, should be 197 BHP, not bad after 100k!Shame the BMC KILLED performance! Be saving for an overpriced Gruppe-M now, or sexy Mugen one!
