ryan..
Just been looking into a leak in my MB6 VTI-S and im rather confused as to what it is and where it could be coming from. The fluid is yellow in colour and greesy. Its in the passenger footwell but I could follow it along the back deadening to the middle of the dash areaAny idea guys? Im confused to say the least lol

ryan..
tomorrow I shall be spending the day taking the car apart on the hunt for the leak. I hope its not too much of a pain but anything behind the dash is gonna be a knightmare
beastgtir
get a torch in there, could be the clutch cylinder but i doubt it as they often go on civics.. wouldn't end up in the passenger footwell. Rich could have nailed it!All check your fluid levels under the engine bay, anything low may indicate whats leaking!

ryan..
well, after lots of messing about today im pretty sure its the clutch.Where it goes through the firewall there is fluid leaking from the piston (as its hydraulic).I'd sprayed the windscreen for ages with a hose and nothing leaked inside, also ran the aircon on for a while at full whack and nothing appeared.Water level was low but hasnt been topped up for a while. Im going to keep an eye out but im pretty sure its the clutch master cylinder leaking
johngreen537
Keep an eye on the resevoir mate. Mark the level one week and check it the next.Hydraulic fluid makes a royal mess! A tiny bit can look like a huge puddle when it spreads!
