My dad had exactly the same happen to him after a service and MOT but he was overtaking traffic on a dual carriageway at the time, he managed not to have an accident but also couldn't just stop either!

flippin heck! it was scary enough at 50 with no cars around me, cant imagine what it would of been like on a dual carriage way!

I am genuinely gutted for you mate such work you put into this car doesn't deserve recklessness, hope they sort it correctly bloody foolish of them I would be mega mega Godzilla style pi55ed.............

thank you! yeah ive put a lot of work and money in to it, I was just shocked when it happened didn't know what to think then after I was really annoyed. I hope they fix it right too and from now on i'll be checking my bonnet every time it goes to a garage, once I get the car back I think for a bit I will still be scared that it might flick open again.
