only asking as i think ive burned a valve and my car seem to act as yours does but in opposite every now and then it will bog down hard as i put my foot down usually when the engine is still upto temp but has been sat for 30min to an hour, i thought it was fuel pump but it only whines when i start the car and all my cars have whined when i first turn the ignition

mine's always done that... Been told its the o2 sensor, but it doesn't bother me enough yet to spend the cash.

also does it when there's been loads of standing water.
