spudley1988
I dont get people who value their car on how much they spent on it when nobody forced them. I personally judge mine on condition, miles etc like what most sensible people do. I fully expect to lose cash on the modifications but hey thats life lol.
NIKH25
It always surprises me that people expect to get most of their money back when selling a car with mods on it. It simply is not the case. The car is only worth around a grand and we, the buyers, do expect to pay slightly over that for the work done but not to the tune of four f**kin grand! Exactly! I mean fair dos on the awesome spec, looks like it's been done properly but it doesn't mean that anyone else is willing to pretty much refund the money the person paid out to have the work done! I dont get people who value their car on how much they spent on it when nobody forced them. I personally judge mine on condition, miles etc like what most sensible people do. I fully expect to lose cash on the modifications but hey thats life lol. Good points, well made. I think the guy has spent a fair bit more than £2.5k on it though, having said that it is priced way over what you would expect to pay for these cars no matter what condition or spec. I don't think he expects to get his money back but he is being overly optimistic, he should keep until they start appreciating, which they will do.
Dave
As much as I love M's, Have to agree the seller is dreaming trying to sell it at that price. Even if it has been done to a very big spec, there's only so much these cars are worth. I'd say on a good day he might get 2 grand - 2 and a half grand tops. feck_on_a_stick
That's some spec but I can imagine there's already a pretty limited market these days for MB6s, nevermind a turbo'd one. Those pics don't really help at all; either in the dark or far away. If I was selling something like this, especially on eBay with a wider UK reach than local Gumtree, I'd have a stack more detailed photos and plenty up-close. It's still a buyers market and he really has to make it look like it's worth every penny.

aerodeckcrewser
well I must agree ! Pics are shoddy but the price is well worth it. I was at dyno daze today and rich has not longed finished the engine rebuild its fully forged and the turbo build is insane and how it stands has had ££££ chucked at it. More than asking price. It was also richs brothers before this guy had it. I seen Better build photos of it today and if I had the money to buy a turbo civic this would be the one. While it has had alot of money thrown at it, we can't be expected to re-line the sellers pocket. Modifications rarely add a huge increase in re-sale value as stated in above posts. But i would agree that it seems a good car and, i presume, well built!!
