well all is not well with my civic when I got my mb the spare wheel well was full of water so I dried it up and put it down to having open boot as it was parked for a year but now I have the same thing happening but its starting to p**s me off as all the windows are steaming up and not in the way I normally expect them to and I have beads of water running down the inside of the windscreen also just wondering has anyone else had the same problem I have noticed that the sunroof seal doesn't seem to be sitting right but there is some water inside where the blind is and iam thinking there shouldn't be

Our cars are prone to leaks there are quite a few places they are known to leak from..

The ones i know of are

At the front  sunroof drains, worth checking they are not blocked.  Windscreen itself.

At the rear the boot seal is common for leaking, check it is all in place properly or it may be perished is she sat around for a period.  Light cluster seal, they are prone to leaking through this but easy to remove and investigate further

Im sure other members will tell us of other areas i have missed but hopefully you got a few places to be getting on with investigating further for now...

I think that pretty much covers it, the only other thing I can think of is the roof gutters sometimes get blocked but thats usually in conjunction with the windscreen seals, worth a look though.

I did my sun roof drains yesterday, both had blockages to an extent, went back out this morning and mines still leaking but not as bad, screen and roof gutters are next to check/seal!

I think the windscreen is a weak point on these. Doesn't seem to be bonded all the way round instead some foam pieces used.

So yeah roof gutters off and windscreen trim. And tiger bond round the top of the windscreen. Hopefully that may help. As Im sure some of you know. This was the death of my my. Caught it late and the water had been running into the foot well a long time rotted through the inner sill. Inner arch too. It's very difficult to repair as there's so many layers.

Is the trim on the roof gutters easy to lift?
