carl747 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Share Posted July 12, 2014 Brakes should be going on this week Swapped wheels at POLand got this to go on the car waiting at home Fitted the ZS brakesThe discs have cleaned up already stopping power is so much better now old K&N was abit past it and was bolted straight to the TB so not good due to heat stroke so ordered a new air pipe and filter not really happy about the blue but will sort that out in time engine bad needs a full over haul Thanks to the holy one i picked up some rear seatsRear seats swapped for GSi/SEi onesforgot i had this brace in one of my sheds hey ho it's fitsalso painted the parcel shelf black but needs another coat before i upload a photo right so today i set about dealing with what little rust the car hasand a coat of primmer untill do the rest of the roofwill come back to this at a later point woops buying these off russ done a bit more on the roofmate had 2 MG Flag badge laying around so fitted them on the wings Swap Alloys again just need rover centre caps Did a bit more on the roofBeforeDuringMasked for primerGuide coat ready for sanding and then paint Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
carl747 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Share Posted July 12, 2014 roof all donepreppedsince the mirrors on the GTi wasn't painted i decided to paint thembagged and maskedmirrors paintedroof paintedroof strips painted with black textured Typical r8 problem passenger door handle snappedNew one Hole in the manifold Temporary fix on the manifold until can find a new one which isn't easy for a D16 DOHC be easy if it was a SOHCNew plate welded in Jap spec brake light One problem fixxed New ones comes upNew rad already orderedOn the plusOld rubbers was abit worn out so new onesAnd arm rest all tho I think Craig forgot to pack the insert lol Don't 3 doors look odd without a rear spoilerHoles for brake lightFitted will remove masking tape tomorrow once allowed tiger seal time to setThen I just need to wire it in properlyOver all happy with it Nearly showroom carlFar from it still loads to doBetter pic car still covered in bodyshop dust How this was keeping the car cool is beyond meNice new radFan swappedAll fitted Busy day on the GTi todayFoot rest fitted as it's a brm carpet It didn't have one carpet still needs tidying up in placesB piller trims swappedArm rest fittedBoot and fuel poppers swapped to blackSide repeaters fitted as old ones was fadedGSI front seats fittedRover centre caps fittedFound this on the bottom of the seats Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
