Krzys
From what I've read I think it can be mapped out when you take it to be done.
dr_broon
Yeah, should be straight forward. From what I've read since, and what it says above, only US p28s have the aps, so the p72 map is looking for something that isn't there, but it shouldn't be a problem because it will just substitute a fixed value. dr_broon
Well, my curiosity got the better of me and I've just tried it out. Was running and idling really smooth while I was pootling around, then when it was warm i took it a bit higher in the revs and it cut out when it got to 3500rpm... Limp home mode So i limped home and swapped ecu again Need to find someone to change that setting on the chip
Krzys
Yeah not worth using until you've had it mapped up dude!
dr_broon
True. Not getting it mapped as such coz it's just a p72 map, but need that sensor disabling for sure
Grant
Can you not disable it yourself ? Take off the solder or something ?
dr_broon
The sensor isn't there... It's just the p72 map on the chip is looking for it because it doesn't realise that it's a p72 brain in a p28 body It's just an option in the software apparently. I think they dabble in B series ECU maps/chips.
