p28 ecu chipped with p72 base map for MC2 deck

Yeah, should be straight forward.

From what I've read since, and what it says above, only US p28s have the aps, so the p72 map is looking for something that isn't there, but it shouldn't be a problem because it will just substitute a fixed value.

Well, my curiosity got the better of me and I've just tried it out. Was running and idling really smooth while I was pootling around, then when it was warm i took it a bit higher in the revs and it cut out when it got to 3500rpm... Limp home mode :(

So i limped home and swapped ecu again :roll:

Need to find someone to change that setting on the chip :)

The sensor isn't there... It's just the p72 map on the chip is looking for it because it doesn't realise that it's a p72 brain in a p28 body :lol:

It's just an option in the software apparently.

How far is somewhere like TDi north from you? I think they dabble in B series ECU maps/chips.
