  2. There's nothing wrong with getting someone to fit it for you mate! Plus I agree, no need to spend loads on things like piping etc when it's all essentially the same, there's certain areas to spend more on than others.

  3. Coolers arent an absolute necessity mate .. Certainly not with a BB turbo that is water cooled. Therefore cooling being taken care of by the water .. Even so, unless your a track god, not strictly needed for road use

  4. May be different pipe size only, otherwise should work , or repair yours with araldite as looks the easiest and cheapest option

  5. right most people use Lingshondaparts.com for getting the part for there car or knowing what part is needed to get. if you ring a Honda Dealership and quote the reference number, they will tell you to do a little more research, or they will ask for your REG so they will have to search for the part themselves, which wastes both their time and yours! I did a bit of searching online and found on another forum how to overcome this and get the Genuine number for your dealership!! It was an Accord forum I found it on so I'm not taking credit for it. so lets say we wanted a part for my aerodeck engine, D16W4. I would put in my Reg when it asked me and I needed a water pump. so you would find the page with the water pump on This link will bring up the page http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17S1E01&block_02=E__1500&block_03=7829 if you delete _pfk in the Address line, but only those for characters!! not the full stop after otherwise it wont work http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection.php?block_01=17S1E01&block_02=E__1500&block_03=7829 It will now bring up the Genuine Honda Part number for you! Lings only seems to do UK Based models which is annoying

  7. We can't tell you which ones to replace mate, that's for you to find out by looking at them. You should be able to tell what torn rubber would look like if you saw it. Here's an example though.

  13. So I have decided to get another set of wheels for trackdays. Mainly so I dont have to swap over my road and track tyres every time. I wanted lighter wheels, and not over priced. I went with Rota Grids 17 x 7.5 in white. I know theres a thing with the Rota quality. They have the same manufacturing approvals as the Team Dynamics wheels that so many race championships here have as a control wheel so thats good enough for me. The Rotas are around 8.3kg a wheel, oppose to the 11kg Ace wheels I have. They feel alot more nimble in acceleration, braking and cornering. But most importantly a wet set of wheels and dry set. crucial with the quick changing UK weather! Yokohama A048 225 45 17 semi slicks (dry set) Half used but useable Uniroyal Rainsport 2 215 45 17 (wet set)

  14. Forgot to report back on this! lol Well, Jim and me stripped the whole rear interior out, which was a total nightmare! New cars just aint built to be taken apart by us!! We got there in the end though, then checked for water ingress. Didnt see exactly where it was coming in, as it's kinda in behind the inner metal of the rear pillars etc, so checked all around the window, and the seal around that is fine. So we decided to take off the roof gutter strip to have a butchers underneath that. Now I did read on civinfo that these gutter trims are almost impossible to take off without breaking either the trim or the clips. With my trusty plastic trim removal kit, I got it off first time, no damage!! The gutter underneath was seriously bunged up with crap, so cleaned it all out. Then noticed that the sealant around where the trim clips into place (there are bolt ends coming up through the roof for it) looked buggered, so cleaned it all out and resealed it. Did all the mounting points along the guttter then put her all back together. Result? Been pissing down with rain up here for the last week, and left her parked in the drive instead of the garage. No more wet seat belt!!! Yas!!!!

  15. ahh, cafe aerodeck, its now made several appearances at car shows now. as for mods, it's now got USDM indicators with thanks to @Chandler, LED side light bulbs and for something different, i've attached an led light bar below the number plate, which is wired in to the sidelights, so at night it looks awesome. I've also got hold of some headlight protectors aswell, at a very good price aswell! the yokohama tyres have now been replaced with uniroyal RS3's' which have done 200 miles or so, and are looking quite promising on the grip front, and the ride has improved as well with the softer sidewall. and one random shot
