  1. Hi!! Any help will be appreciated The problem is; rear doors on my MB3 keep unlocking themselves, not when the car is running, but maybe I'll get in the car and the door signal on the dashboard will lighten up. And everytime it happens it's either the right or left rear door. It also happens once in a while when I close the trunk. Has this happened to anyone before?? I have no clue about what it could be causing this. Thanks in advance, have a GREAT day!

  3. Hi Paul Should be an easy fix mate. The light your seeing on dash is "door open", not door unlocked. When the light comes on, are the doors actually open when you check them? If the doors are closed, then the problem is an easy fix. If you open the doors, you will see a small microswitch on the C pillar near the catch. It may just need adjusting. Undo to screw slightly just enough to let you move the switch. Move it outwards (away from the car's interior) then retighten. If the problem persists, try spraying a small amount of WD40 into the switch them work the switch in and out. If that doesn't fix it, replace the switch. Let us know how you get on. @pau2112

  4. I replaced the clutch August last year... Though I have a feeling the clutch may be fubar from when I was trying to not stop/brake down in the middle of rush hour in Guildford after a road had been closed down... Right smack bang in the middle... Will see when I take it out tomorrow. I also took out the gearbox to replace the input shaft bearing just before new years but was sent the wrong size bearings... Then this happened. And since the bearing is a common failure on these Honda's I'd thought I'd play devil's advocate and replace the bearing on the new gearbox. Glad I did as the one in the new gearbox had failed too! thankfully the rest is in good nick. Smooth gear operation. Now to fit it in tomorrow morning Glad I saved myself several hours for £15 now...

  5. Seriously tho assuming the car it's come from was in good health. A used matrix will be fine. I had to do this job myself a number of years back. Had a leak in the passenger foot well. Paid around a tenner for a used rover 45 matrix. And changed it across 2 evenings. Full dash out job.

  6. Not to mention. They use cables to shift the gears.

  10. Genuine honda would be ideal but expensive. Best thing is get on Htune or Tegiwa and get a Denso one, there supposed to be the best and cost about £70.
