  1. Funny you should say that, as I was thinking about the one you had on the accord - was it the rhino lip? I was looking at b18 ubr, but that's about £400.. Think that I'm going to see how I feel about it first. Hopefully before Christmas... Should be getting an mot in the next few days, maybe after the skirts are painted and on.

  2. Private plate would be better IMO, but will cost minimum of £250 :( Side skirts look good, i like the extensions too. I know your not keeping them but maybe stick on extensions? I had stick on splitter for my Accord. It flexed so speed bumps etc wouldn't damage them. You cut it to length etc. Just a thought! What's the drive date for Tubs II?

  3. Bit of an odd one tonight, had several trips in the car today all of a medium distance, come to start the car to travel home tonight and it really, really struggled to start which is unusual, at first I thought it was because I hadn't waited enough time for the fuel pump to prime, but I took a drive round town before going home just in case, got home with it and left it with lights on in the garage for a couple of minutes (a stupid mistake at best of times I know..), come to start the car again and it was absolutely dead and won't even turn over. Totally flat. Is this likely to be a dead battery or something else? I didn't think a battery would just die like this with no prior warning, surely? Going to get a multimeter on tomorrow night and have a check. Hoping it is the battery because that's easier than the alternatives, it is 4-5 years old I believe and has previously been left to go flat before I got the car so possibly not in the best health to begin with.

  4. I had 'Z Lip' make on mine. They are other makes on ebay but Z Lip are the main make, came from America, and lasted all the abuse and never hinted of coming off (stuck on by 3M tape that came with it). About £60 if i remember. You could add it to front or rear bumpers, if looks ok!

  5. So looking forward to seeing this back on the road mate! Once the lockdowns/covid is under control will need to pop down to see you in DD. You still wanting to swap the rear boot side trim panels from DD and Tubs (mine have the holes in for adjusting the suspension)? Mind let me know a price for them other trims we talked about too. Will get some cracking photos of Tubs 2 and DD together

  6. A multimeter will not show the true condition of the battery. It is said that 4 years is the lifespan of a battery before it starts to lose effectiveness. Most garages and car spares shops should have a battery testing machine which will give a reading of the battery condition.

  7. No, I don't think so - they look like they've been tagged on. Dropped them off at lunchtime yesterday and did a quick test fit - going to leave the black bits off for now. They're not in the best shape or best fit.

  8. As if it wasn't hard enough to find a decent MB these days without worrying about certain ages/emissions! The MB2 sport has colour matched wing mirrors and door handles, spoiler, alloy wheels, rear disc brakes and the VTI spec interior which includes half leather seats, door cards, steering wheel, gear knob, maybe the gear stick surround, but weirdly not a bigger arm rest. And that's the only differences really. I've heard people say the 1.4 is faster than the 1.5 but not sure how true that is or what they're like compared to the 1.6 engines (VTEC or standard). Happy hunting!
