I'd be thinking it's more down to the way it will be removed If you remove it with plenty of heat softening the glu enough then you should have no problems as long as the paint is in a good state to start with. Plasti dip can **** up your paint: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154117679445099&set=a.231937850098.273002.643445098&type=1

hhhmmm that is another option alright

Here is one of the most common dealer options and how to avoid getting ripped off. --- Paint Sealant or Protection --- This is one instance where the dealership hopes the car buyer will be gullible enough to believe that it’s using some special technique and material that’ll keep your car’s paint looking factory fresh, when it’s typically the same products found at any motor factors or Halfords. Instead take the money you’d pay the dealer to “seal†your paint and spend it on a professional detailer. Dealers don't have the know how or skill that is needed to correctly apply paint sealants or protection coatings to a vehicles paint, they are trained to sell. --- www.mxvaleting.ie ---

LOL after you saying put an engine in the back there is no more to be said I dont know Tom, if i was it would be very minimal as i love being able to machine the paint when needed.

Thanks guys I though about removing the EGR but I'll have a light on the dash and that's more more money to cancel, also the EGR helps heat the engine on start up reducing wear. A clean once a year wont hurt me or the engine @marko. That's like putting a cherrie on top of a beef stew
