How ya doin folks. Not had my mb6 for too long but when i got it i had put 5/40 fully synthetic motul in and car hardly touched a drop. I done another oil change about 3k miles ago but had to use 5/30 fully synth Comma oil as funds were tighter.Now its used a bit of this comma stuff, could it be due to thinness? poorer oil quality or could it be due to me having my v-tec engagememt set at 3600 so any long distances a decent length of time could be spent in v-tec.

Def need lowering springs with them. I tried just mgzs shocks and springs on my old mb3 and it sat mega high lol. Works better on the mb6 with just full standard set up as B series weighs more. Once lowered tho great budget modification.

I stay down in scottish borders near st marys loch etc. St marys loch road is lovely then get some cracking views and walking points etc when you get up to the loch.

Not had filter off yet works been a bit crazy. However on holiday next week so hoping to maybe get a bit closer to knowing then. Frustrating as it's only happening now and then and it's bloody hard to describe lol.

Managed to squeeze in without removing battery. Alternator was at it's tightest point and the belt could be turned maybe a half turn. However once tightened it back up it's not squeaked lol but new belt is here just incase

It's got a short arm induction kit on it mate but the filter bit looks a tad old. Unsure if this would cause it but was the first thing that popped into ma head lol

Top lads I'll swap the bulb around later and slap them about a bit lol. Worst case I'll go to that xenons place and grab a nice new set lol

The outside looks a bit old and tatty so the inside could be interesting lol

Whats easy to check kink the air filter? I've no got another one to replace that one with so unsure how to identify with what ive got. Im sensing an easy answer coming to this making me possibly regret asking lol.

Nah neither do i mate but changing it wont do no harm i suppose. Pulls really well from low down. I still reckon potentilly air starvation possibly due to an old air filter. Im not hugely knowledgable with mechanics tho just my guess

Had a quick boggle under the hood. Seems proper hard to get to the alternator from top. All aircon pipes and power steering etc block a lot of the way. More mechanical minded people would probably manage id presume lol.

Yea may try fuel filter first. Start small and cheap lol.

I've only owned for 6 months tops but have done oil and filter twice and changed plugs once

Just a quickie chaps. Alternator is screaming like a pig, can it be tensioned from the top or do i have to go under?

It doesnt do it all the time. I'm sure ive had it on a old corsa but cant remember the cause. Obviously different car could be different reasos lol. Only way to describe other than shudder is its like engines trying to run down smoothly then it jerks as if it doesnt want to run down and continues doing this until i depress clutch or accelerate again. Dont know if maybe old air filter and not getting in enough air or maybe a sensor or possible mount as you also suggest.

It's like the engine getting starved of something or too much of something so the car kind of shudders. Shudder is the best way I can think of to describe and as soon as I put clutch down it's smooth again. Only ever occured round town down about 1-5 - 2k revs.

May just replace them for the sake of p**sing about lol

Hey folks sometimes when im slowing down and down the revs in my mb6 i occasionally get violent shuddering, as if air mixture or fuel mix could be wrong. Anyone experienced this? Maybe a sensor or old air filter something like that?

Hey folks got a small issue with my bosch HID kit. Driving along they can sometimes flicker also the passenger full beam doesnt work. I know some dont agree with them but amnyone who uses them or has knowledge of them know why this is happening? I have considered a set from xenon r us on facebook as they seem to be getting cracking reviews but this is final option if bosch ones cant be sorted.
