    Possibly my plan is i got the old licence plate surround here so im gonna destroy half and try painting again and see if my blending skills are up to the job Cheers man i bet you would be fine though if you had a go thing is i just went for it and as for too far i went as far as clean metal see i used a dremel type grinder (its actually a draper one but same affair) very precise as its so small Thanks for your comments guys i got no more progress to report as it has been raining all day Damn Weather

    As far as i can see there is only one more patch of rust on car now and thats under the bonnet Aye cheers man im happy with it (probably) Oh Ah Oh Ah Proper Job (said in a farmers accent) cheers mate hopefully will complete today (thursday)

    Got a good start on the rust and dents today. Took a lot longer than i planned because rust was worse than it first looked Some pics of Damage to repair Drivers side rear arch After attacking with the mini grinder And inside of arch After a proper grind No more pics of progress on that side yet have started rebuilding arch so will take some tomorrow when i finish (Of course whole area was treated with hammerite cure rust gel) This is the passenger side before After Grinding And again no pics of filler stage but this time because i forgot to take them This is what lower part looks like now Im quite happy with results looks pretty good More tomorrow as i got an extra shift at work (meant to be night off) and had to stop work

    Good tools are always better i feel, i mostly got Draper and that never lets me down or breaks

    Take a few pics of it so people can advice you easier I will be doing the rust on my wing tomorrow (wednesday) i shall be posting before during and after pics of what i do and what i use this should help you a bit im no expert either but i had a go at it many many cars ago and found that if you take your time its actually quite easy I am going to remove rust, treat it to stop it coming back or spreading, fill the hole it will leave, then primer it ready for top coat (primer is pretty failsafe to do but top coat requires skills you may want to get sombody else to do that stage but i would say if you have an old panel or something else you can practice on give it a go and see how you get on)

    it does and the weather looks like it will hold off until thursday so tomorrow will be all good Cheers man glad you think so im well chuffed with the look im achieving all got to happen quick now though under ten weeks till fest

    Its preperation time for the japfest So i followed nights example (for those who have read his build) and went to get raped i came away with 1) Concentrated Degreaser to go in my pressure sprayer (for engine bay) £6.99 2) Cure Rust (in gel form) £5.49 3) Filler £8.49 4) Assorted wet & dry £5.99 5) Detailing Brushes £2.99 6) Grey Primer £7.49 Total: £37.44 But wednesday will be a good day i have two small dings and two minor rust patches and by the end of wednesday i shall have four primered patches instead now, and by the end of thursday i shall have a grease free clean engine bay

    thanks mate yeah got to repaint the calipers to at some point! as now they don't look as mint as the rest of the blacked parts While your at halfords being raped you will have to buy some red paint or maybe something different

    Now now remember im a good clean christian man (Yeah Right) But Do Behave !!!! So i took a couple of pics whilst out last night in poverty stricken Charlton as usual with my pics ligthing not the best but you can see they work at night And this one No you can not see the back lights i just like it (well in the flesh it looked good anyway not so in the picture LOL)

    Thanks for opinions guys im over the moon with the result and just gone out for the first time in the dark and it looks awsome im at my mates now but will take pics in a few hours when we pop out

    That will look good mate touch more tricky to get neat finish although you can remove the lense completely and do it from the inside but i did not fancy that as they will need to be glued back together afterwards
